Story
Barnum is a beautiful Shepherd mix with a tender heart and a cautious spirit. Once feral, he learned to survive by relying on his instincts — and now he’s learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and understood. For the right person, Barnum will be an incredibly rewarding companion. But he isn’t for everyone. He’s for his person. Barnum becomes devoted to the person who makes him feel safe: offering gentle affection, leaning in for reassurance, and even rolling over for his favorite thing in the world — belly rubs. His mid-level anxious energy means he startles easily — even squeaky toys are a little too exciting for him right now. Barnum needs someone who understands that progress doesn’t happen overnight — but that small steps forward are victories worth celebrating. He will thrive with someone who will let him set the pace — whether that means giving him a little space or inviting him to cuddle when he needs reassurance. If you’re the patient, gentle, dog-savvy person Barnum has been waiting for, he’s ready to start that journey with you. Story
Meet Nora! Nora is a stunning 4-year-old, 60 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback/German Shepherd mix with a loyal heart and a love for her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side — your shadow, your adventure buddy, your best friend. This smart girl is housebroken, crate trained, and fully obedience trained. She walks beautifully on a leash and loves being part of whatever her humans are doing. Nora’s story started off rough — she and her siblings were found abandoned in a box on the side of the road as tiny puppies. Thanks to a wonderful rescue mom, they all grew up healthy and strong and found homes. Nora’s first home wasn’t the perfect fit, but she’s ready for her true forever family now. Nora would do best as either an only dog or with a stable male companion, as she doesn’t get along well with other females. She also needs caution and supervision around cats. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with great manners and a big heart, Nora is ready to be your girl!December 7, 2025, 8:39 pm

Story
Meet Skye! Skye is a 3-year-old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile! When she was first picked up by animal control, she weighed only 43 lbs — but with love and care, she’s now a healthy 55 lbs and ready to find her forever home. This beautiful girl has a soft, medium-length coat and a gentle spirit. Though she’s still learning to trust and find her confidence, Skye absolutely thrives on praise and affection. She adores kids, enjoys spending time with cats, and is an all-around sweetheart once she feels safe. Skye isn’t a fan of female dogs, so she’d do best as your only pup or with a calm male companion. She did lose part of her right ear and now sports a docked tail after an old scuffle, but don’t worry — it hasn’t slowed her down one bit! Skye has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250. If you’re ready to give this resilient, loving girl the forever home she deserves, come meet Skye today — she’s waiting to steal your heart! October 21, 2025, 11:09 pm

Verity is a 4-year-old, 65-lb German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix (best guess!) with brains, energy, and a heart full of love. She’s a very quick learner and thrives on activity, making her a wonderful match for an active family who can keep her mind and body busy. This smart little lady is crate trained, completely housebroken, and quickly picking up leash manners and basic obedience. She loves people, gets along well with kids and dogs, but does have a high prey drive—so she will need caution and supervision around cats.
