Story
Meet Lilly: Your Future Shadow, Cuddle Bug, and Professional Toy Demolisher. Looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side? Meet Lilly! This 3.5-year-old German Shepherd is an absolutely amazing dog with a heart of gold. She is the perfect mix of outdoor adventure companion and calm-couch-potato snuggle bug. Lilly is what we affectionately call a `velcro dog.` She loves her humans and wants to be involved in whatever they are doing. She will happily be your shadow around the house. The Best Things About Lilly: A Total People-Lover: Loves every person she meets and is absolutely fantastic with kids! Smart & Eager to Please: She knows `sit,` `lay down,` `shake a paw,` and understands `outside,` `treat,` and `walk.` Quiet & Calm: You won`t have to worry about barking. Lilly is quiet and only barks on occasion. Perfect House Manners: She isn`t crate trained, but she doesn`t need to be! She is perfectly well-behaved when left alone or while sleeping. The Perfect Balance: She loves going for walks or runs, but the moment you get home, she is ready to curl up and snuggle with you on the couch. Her Funny Quirks: The Toy Assassin: Stuffed toys and squeakers, beware! Destroying plush toys is her absolute favorite pastime. She also loves balls and is actively working on her fetch skills. The Meat Thief: Lilly is incredibly well-behaved around human food... unless it`s meat. She has zero guilt about stealing an unattended steak if given the opportunity! Selective Hearing: When it`s just the two of you, her off-leash recall is great, but if there are other dogs or people around to distract her, her listening skills completely go out the window! Lilly`s Ideal Home & Training Needs: While Lilly is a perfect angel with humans, she does have some specific needs to ensure she thrives: No Cats: Lilly has a very strong prey drive. Lilly can also be reactive to other dogs, especially on leash. She requires very slow, structured introductions. Because of this, homes with small dogs are not recommended. Experienced Owner Needed: We are looking for an adopter who has knowledge with dog reactivity and is committed to working with her on her leash skills and distraction recall. Lilly is an incredibly sweet, calm, and loving soul who just wants a family to call her own. If you have the time and experience to work with her, she will reward you by being the most devoted best friend you could ever ask for.

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Bean (female) and I am a nine month old Great Pyrenees/ German Shepherd. I don`t think I will be a large dog, maybe more of a medium size. I am very soft and have lots of medium length hair. I am a very happy girl and just love being around my people. I sleep in a crate at night. I have been learning how to sit on command and I am working on no jumping up on people. I haven`t quite master that one yet. I am doing well with my leash training, as I have a foster brother that helps me with my walking speed. I would benefit from some obedience training. I am a little frightened of new places and sounds, but my foster mom helps me with my fears. I would make a great companion animal.

Story
Bug is a sweet, playful, calm little character who can`t wait to find his forever home with a loving, patient family. With proper introductions, he has been great with meeting other dogs while on walks, and with the resident cat in his foster home. He can be a little nervous meeting new humans, but with patient, proper introduction, you`ll be friends in no time. He loves to play with the foster home`s grandchild, and tug-of-war is one of his favourite games. With no training prior to coming into care, Bug is a work in progress. Nighttime kennel training is going well, as is toilet training, and a home that will continue his training with love and patience will be rewarded with a loving, faithful companion. Could that be you?

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
German Shepherd, 22 months – Seeking Experienced Home Sweet, affectionate 22-month-old German Shepherd looking for the right home. She is gentle with our kids but is very boisterous, and forms strong bonds. Fully house-trained and crate-trained. She has a sensitive stomach, so diet needs consistency to avoid gastrointestinal upset. She is reactive to other dogs and currently wears a muzzle on walks, so she requires an experienced, confident handler willing to continue training. She can be destructive if left unsupervised and does best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Smart and loving, but needs structure, boundaries, and attention. Will steal food if given the chance. Best suited to an experienced owner, preferably breed experienced, in a pet-free home and ideally child-feee home. In the right environment, she will be a loyal and rewarding companion.

Story
Imagine being just six weeks old, living outdoors in a rural community during freezing winter temperatures—surrounded by ten other dogs, competing for food, warmth, and survival. That was Link’s beginning. It’s a heartbreaking start, but it’s only one small chapter of his story. Link came into care with Megan's Rescue in the dead of winter—tiny, unsure, and still learning that the world could be kind. Since then, he has done nothing but grow. Now a young adult, Link is patiently waiting for the family he’s always deserved. Link is a happy, gentle soul with a playful streak. He adores his toys and has a special love for carrying sticks along on his adventures. He travels wonderfully in the car, is house trained, and crate trained—making him an easy companion to welcome into a home. He does well with other dogs, though he can show some resource-guarding tendencies, so continued guidance and structure will help him thrive. Because of his rough start, Link isn’t 100% confident in every situation yet—but he is eager to learn, eager to please, and highly food motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience for both of you. Above all else, Link loves people. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s by your side, building trust and soaking up love. Link has survived his hardest days. Now he’s ready for his best ones—could that be with you? 🐾
