Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142

Story
At just 11 months old, Santiago is the perfect mix of puppy charm and growing confidence. He’s a happy, curious boy who loves to explore, play, and be near his people. Whether it’s going for walks, chasing toys, or learning new tricks, Santiago is always up for some fun—and he’s a quick learner, too! He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful energy while also giving him the love and guidance all young dogs need. Santiago is currently in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, so we can’t arrange a meet-and-greet, but don’t worry—once adopted, he’ll fly north and his new family will just need to pick him up at the airport. It’s an exciting way to welcome a new best friend! If you’re looking for a sweet, social pup to grow up with, Santiago is ready to meet you

Story
Hi friends! My name is Laika (Loretta in Mexico) and here's more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: German Shepherd mix Age: 1 year 2 months approx.  Gender: Female Weight: 37lbs (17 kg)  Length: 55cm  Height: 46cm  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was rescued on December 1, 2024, at just 45 days old. My superhero hooman rescuer heard about me - a tiny puppy found alone wandering on the street. Although I showed no signs of physical abuse, it was clear that I had been abandoned by my previous 'family'. Thanks to my foster hooman's tender love and care however, I have been able to thrive and grow into the gentle, sweet and loving pup I am today! TEMPERAMENT - The hoomans around me describe me as a sweet, shy pup with a gentle soul. I am playful, affectionate, friendly, and I get along wonderfully with doggos of all sizes. I have grown into a very obedient and loving companion, who is easily motivated by sausage treats and mangoes. Although I can be shy, I love to be around the hoomans and I get super excited when my foster comes home. I always greet them with joy, knowing a big hug is coming. Besides that, I am a calm pup who likes to play with my favourite toys - Plastic bottles, water jug caps, and empty toilet paper rolls!  ENERGY LEVEL - Low GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Unknown (no video footage provided) but I currently live with a cat  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills, however I may need some additional patience and training  House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I am spayed and vaccinated. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Namu🌳 (Namu means tree in Korean) 💙 Name: Namu 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 4 years old (Born in May 2021) 💙 Weight: 10.1 kg / 22.3 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. * Was recently diagnosed with a bladder infection, so care is needed to make sure he drinks enough water. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Namu was staying at the Gimje City Shelter, where the accomodation space was beyond the limit. Namu was in the risk of being put down while staying in such a crowded place. Adogs team rescued him in time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy and wary of strangers, and tends to fear being touched. Can be touched when trust is built, so it's important to wait and go at his own pace. * With Dogs: Gives a warning sign such as growling when new dogs smell him or get in his face. Wags his tail and greets familiar dogs, but seems to prefer being alone to playing or hanging out with other dogs. * With Cats: Shows some aggression towards cats, so careful monitoring is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet, since he is living with other dogs as a group at the center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty only since he is staying at the center. * Hygiene: Takes baths and brushing very well. Gets nervous a bit during toenail trimming but makes no big fuss. * Walks: Is generally good at walking, but tries to chew the leash when he gets surprised by loud noises or feels tension on the leash. Attention is needed to prevent him from running away by chewing the leash. Doesn’t react much to other animals. * Nip: Growls as a warning sign if unfamiliar dogs get in his face, and may bite if they don’t stop. If other dogs show interest in his food, punches at them with his muzzle, signaling for them to stay away. Has not nipped at a person yet, but has possibility to do it if a stranger suddenly tries to touch him or he feels threatened. * Likes: Loves eating. However, may show threatening action to other dogs when they are approaching during the meal time, as if saying not to come close to him. So caution is needed. * Dislikes: Tends to be shy and timid, so he feels uncomfortable with new people or dogs. Needs time to be accustomed to them.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Kuku🧡 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Kuku is one of the puppies of #AdogsDanpoong. During one freezing winter, Danpoong gave birth to five puppies at a shelter and was soon diagnosed with mange. Adogs urgently rescued the family. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Loves people and greets familiar ones with kisses! Allows people to lightly touch him, but more he only allows stronger physical affection when he’s feeling happy. Although unafraid, he is on guard with unfamiliar people and when people make quick movements, he may bark and reject treats. Is scared of guests, barking at them and hiding in another room. With a slow and gentle approach, he opens up quickly. * With Dogs: Is indifferent to dogs who don’t engage but approaches those who show interest in him. Gets along very well with even new canine friends. Gets along with most dogs. * With Cats: Calm around still cats and gently sniffs them, but has a lot of curiosity and tries to chase cats that run away. Might try to fight back against aggressive cats, so supervision is necessary. Tends to bark when he sees a cat passing outside the kennel. * Separation Anxiety: None. Plays or naps peacefully when alone. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but is 100% trained using indoor pee pads too. * Hygiene: Doesn’t enjoy baths but tolerates them well. Is afraid of nail trimming and nips, so walks are used to keep nails short. Is very good with brushing and toothbrushing. * Walks: Goes for walks with double leashes. During walks, we are also working on recall training. Except in situations where someone suddenly approaches and startles him, he remains calm and focused when called by name, and comes toward his handler. Has become more accustomed to walking and no longer reacts to passing birds or cats. * Car Sickness: Experiences motion sickness after about 15 minutes. It’s best to avoid feeding him right before car rides. * Biting: Bites defensively when strangers approach and try to touch him immediately. This doesn’t seem to be out of aggression but because he’s trying to protect himself. Sometimes, he bites when being forced to do something, so caution is needed. * Barking: Is a bit gluttonous and may growl when people touch his favorite treats. Sometimes barks in fear when he hears a sudden or unfamiliar noise, but calms down quickly. * Likes: Loves treats. Comes running, sits and waits in anticipation once he hears the opening of the fridge. Loves playing tug, too! * Dislikes: Expresses discomfort by baring teeth if picked up or touched against his will. * Tricks: Is a genius who has mastered 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'nose' and 'V,' and understands the difference between right and left paws!
