Story
Sol ☀️ | ~2 years | 52 lbs | Shepherd-Husky Mix If you are an experienced owner of dog breeds like Shepherd, Husky, or Malamutes, keep reading. I’m Sol. I’m a very affectionate dog who loves her people deeply. I was rescued from a high kill shelter in the nick of time. I’ve been bouncing between fosters ever since, and I’m ready to just have a place to call home. Home changes are confusing, but I have been settling in well by the 4th day! I’m currently being fostered by an amazing foster family. At home I’m easy. I’m potty and crate trained, and I’m happy just hanging on the couch after a walk. I love cuddles and bonding time with my humans. The one thing I struggle with is other dogs on leash. I get frustrated and it’s something I’m actively working on with a positive reinforcement trainer. I do well on quiet trails where I can be keep a distance from other dogs; it’s more the busy streets that are hard. But the trainer and my rescue family believes the practice on quieter trails is going to set me up for success. Whoever adopts me would just need to keep the training going and we’ll make sure you know exactly how. A dog-busy neighborhood probably isn’t the right fit at the moment. Neither an apartment. I’m hoping to find a home in a suburb, with access to trail walks. A dog sibling or friend would mean the world to me, because I love playing with dogs I connect with. I had been marching the play style of huskies and shepherds. I’ve been waiting for my person for a few months now. I hope that’s you. 📩 Contact @PawesomeBaby to start the conversation. 📸 More photos & videos: Instagram @PawesomeBaby —————————————————————————- Basic info: —————————————————————————- • Age: approx 1.5 - 2 yr • Weighs 52 lb • Potty trained at foster home. • People friendly • Dog friendly You will be adopting a dog who got the care listed below - • Spay/neuter • Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Bordetella vaccines • Either negative fecal test or dewormed • Wellness checkup, Heartworm, blood tests • Microchip registration with AKC reunited • Lots of tender loving care at amazing foster home! • Professional training help with leash walking We are looking for adopters in Washington state or BC Canada. We may consider neighboring states AB or OR, if it’s a perfect match lifestyle and you are willing to drive. Please contact to schedule a meetup! Her adoption fee is USD 400 (CAD 500). We charge an adoption fee for our precious dogs, to make sure they go to a good home who can afford caring for them as a family member. Dog ownership is a lifetime commitment of over 10-15 yrs. Training: —————- She is getting help with leash frustrated greeting seeing dogs on walks. We are working with trainers to guide her. We’ll share all the information you need to continue the routine her foster family had been keeping. Training Resources: ————————————— Regardless of who you adopt, we recommend training your pup regularly, to build an everlasting bond with your pup and help them continue to be an amazing canine citizen. We can provide a list of reputable trainers who use positive reinforcement methods to help you establish a training protocol and an everlasting bond with your newly adopted furbaby. —————————————————————————- [IMPORTANT] —————————————————————————- Below listed requirements are for any dogs we adopt out, meant for everyone’s safety. • If you have other dogs, then you must also be knowledgeable and have good hands on experience with running a multi-dog home to be able to adopt a dog from us. What’s expected of the adopter is just keeping basic house rules like (1) keep the dogs apart when feeding, monitor & put away left over food, (2) help them build mutual trust before leaving alone with treats, toys around (3) keep dogs out of kitchen when handling food etc • As with any dog, earn their trust around food handling. This is an essential training for every dog, so they learn to trust their new human. It takes only a couple of practice sessions around meal time with most dogs with no history of food guarding. Teaching to sit, then hand-feeding food & high value treats is one of the best ways to earn trust. • If you have children at home, they should be at least 8+ yrs, and know to safely & respectfully interact with dogs, to be considered for adoption. We think families with younger children will likely not have the time needed to exercise and nourish a new dog. And the time needed to train little kids to safely interact with dogs, read their body language & respect their personal space. Most dogs do not enjoy little ones clinging to them, pulling their fur, crawling or lying on them. We do not want to risk the safety of neither your child nor our dog. Follow @dogmeets_baby trainer on Instagram to learn more on this topic :-) Of course, we understand there are exceptions and some parents are on top with this. Please contact us if you are one of those exceptional parents :) • We discourage the use of choke, pinch, prong collars on our dogs. Training to walk on a well fitted no-pull harness is encouraged. All our dogs come with a “no-pull” harness. If needed for training, you can use humane collars like regular buckle collars, martingale collars or ‘gentle leader’. Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142

Story
At just 11 months old, Santiago is the perfect mix of puppy charm and growing confidence. He’s a happy, curious boy who loves to explore, play, and be near his people. Whether it’s going for walks, chasing toys, or learning new tricks, Santiago is always up for some fun—and he’s a quick learner, too! He gets along great with other dogs and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful energy while also giving him the love and guidance all young dogs need. Santiago is currently in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, so we can’t arrange a meet-and-greet, but don’t worry—once adopted, he’ll fly north and his new family will just need to pick him up at the airport. It’s an exciting way to welcome a new best friend! If you’re looking for a sweet, social pup to grow up with, Santiago is ready to meet you

Story
**About Jamie:** Jamie is an international rescue all the way from Taiwan. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step! The Journey Home Once your application is approved, the final step of Jamie’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include: West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX, YVR. East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH Meet Jamie: The Wiggle-Hip Wonder! Jamie is a gentle soul who truly blossoms once she knows she’s safe. While she might start off a little shy, her "second impression" is unforgettable—once she recognizes you, she transforms into a bundle of joy, greeting you with a wagging tail and her signature "hip wiggle" dance. 🏠 Home Life & Manners Home Alone: Jamie is a dream when left alone. she does not suffer from separation anxiety and is not destructive. The Kitchen Rule: Because Jamie is a big fan of food, she’s a bit of an "aspiring snack thief." It’s important to keep counters clear and store dog-unfriendly foods (like chocolate) securely out of reach. Sleeping Habits: She is very adaptable! She is happy on a sofa, a floor mat, or an elevated bed. In her current foster home, she is successfully crate-trained for naps and bedtime. While she might try to sneak onto the big bed for morning cuddles, she is very obedient and will hop down if asked. Potty Training: Jamie is a pro at going potty outdoors. She is currently a "blank slate" regarding indoor pee pads, so she’ll do best with a family that can maintain her outdoor routine. 🍖 Food & Training People-Friendly: Jamie has zero food guarding with humans—you can even take a treat right from her mouth. Dog-Friendly: She eats peacefully around other dogs as long as everyone has their own space and bowl. Treat Tip: Jamie gets very enthusiastic about snacks! Because she can be a little "impatient" when taking treats from fingers, we recommend feeding her from an open palm or giving her a gentle "easy" reminder. 🚶 Walks & Adventures On the Leash: Jamie loves her walks. She gets so excited that she might try to beat you out the door! We recommend putting your shoes on before grabbing the leash. Once she settles into her pace, she is a steady walker and isn't bothered by squirrels, birds, or cats. Car Rides: She is an excellent passenger—no carsickness here! Water Fun: Jamie is very cooperative during baths and is unfazed by the sound of a hair dryer. She may try to pull her paws away during nail trims, but with a slow, patient hand, she does just fine. 🐕 Social Butterfly (On Her Own Terms) With Dogs: Jamie gets along well with other pups but prefers a "polite hello" (sniffing) over an immediate "puppy tackle." If a dog is too high-energy right away, she’ll give a small bark to set a boundary and then simply walk away. With People: She is a friend to everyone—men, women, children, and seniors alike. First Introductions: To win Jamie over, start low and slow. Instead of a big, enthusiastic approach, crouch down and let her come to you. Start with head pats, and before you know it, she’ll be leaning against your legs for more. 💪 Bravery Note Jamie is remarkably brave when it comes to loud noises. While most dogs hide from fireworks or loud "pops" (like a bug zapper), Jamie doesn’t bat an eye. She is one cool, collected girl! Is Jamie the missing piece to your family? If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and wiggle-prone companion, Jamie is ready to meet you!

Story
Hi friends! My name is Laika (Loretta in Mexico) and here's more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: German Shepherd mix Age: 1 year 4 months approx.  Gender: Female Weight: 44lbs (20 kg)  Length: 55cm  Height: 46cm  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was rescued on December 1, 2024, at just 45 days old. My superhero hooman rescuer heard about me - a tiny puppy found alone wandering on the street. Although I showed no signs of physical abuse, it was clear that I had been abandoned by my previous 'family'. Thanks to my foster hooman's tender love and care however, I have been able to thrive and grow into the gentle, sweet and loving pup I am today! TEMPERAMENT - The hoomans around me describe me as a sweet, shy pup with a gentle soul. I am playful, affectionate, friendly, and I get along wonderfully with doggos of all sizes. I have grown into a very obedient and loving companion, who is easily motivated by sausage treats and mangoes. Although I can be shy, I love to be around the hoomans and I get super excited when my foster comes home. I always greet them with joy, knowing a big hug is coming. Besides that, I am a calm pup who likes to play with my favourite toys - Plastic bottles, water jug caps, and empty toilet paper rolls!  ENERGY LEVEL - Low GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Unknown (no video footage provided) but I currently live with a cat  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills, however I may need some additional patience and training  House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I am spayed and vaccinated. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2452100##

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Namu🌳 (Namu means tree in Korean) 1.) Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. * Was recently diagnosed with a bladder infection, so care is needed to make sure he drinks enough water. 2.) Rescue Story * Namu was staying at the Gimje City Shelter, where the accomodation space was beyond the limit. Namu was in the risk of being put down while staying in such a crowded place. Adogs team rescued him in time. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Is shy and wary of strangers, and tends to fear being touched. Can be touched when trust is built, so it's important to wait and go at his own pace. * With Dogs: Gives a warning sign such as growling when new dogs smell him or get in his face. Wags his tail and greets familiar dogs, but seems to prefer being alone to playing or hanging out with other dogs. * With Cats: Shows some aggression towards cats, so careful monitoring is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet, since he resides with other dogs as a group at our center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty only since he is staying at our center. * Hygiene: Takes baths very well Avoids brushing but doesn’t resist it. Gets nervous a bit during toenail trimming but makes no big fuss. * Walks: Is generally good at walking, but tries to chew the leash when he gets surprised by loud noises or feels tension on the leash. Attention is needed to prevent him from running away by chewing the leash. Doesn’t react much to other animals. * Growls as a warning sign if unfamiliar dogs get in his face, and may bite if they don’t stop. If other dogs show interest in his food, he punches at them with his muzzle, signaling for them to stay away. Has not nipped at a person yet, but has possibility to do it if a stranger suddenly tries to touch him or he feels threatened. * Loves eating. However, he may show threatening action to other dogs when they are approaching during the meal time, as if saying not to come close to him. So caution is needed. * Tends to be shy and timid, so he feels uncomfortable with new people or dogs. Needs time to be accustomed to them.
