HELP! There MUST be a home out there for this incredible dog! Feather came to me from Europe in 2022. She is from a well-known German kennel, is IGP titled and took part in working trials/shows in Europe. She has a beautiful black/red coat, outstanding temperament, excellent training, is very smart, and has typical GSD characteristics. She loves people & kids, and is confident and engaging. She only gets along with SOME dogs. No cats. She has been ok with male dogs, and was instant friends with the male GSD in her foster home. She loves to swim, walk, run, and fetch anything! She is spunky for her age, but easy to live with and chill; she has no health problems. Feather has certified hips and elbows, dentition through the German SV, and clear for Degenerative Meylopathy, Basic Cardiac certificate through OFA. Currently near Boise Idaho. Feather turned 8 years old at the end of November.

Story
HI - I'M BAILY! I'm a 1-year-old purebred German Shepherd girl in need of a foster or forever home. I am a sweet and affectionate girl. I would be a lap dog if I could, as I love to snuggle. I have done well with other dogs, and I weigh only about 50 lbs, though I'm a growing girl. I would love a home where I am the center of attention and can get plenty of love and exercise. I'm currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Idaho. Please email for an application, thanks.

Story
MEET GRACE & KATIE, two beautiful, sweet & loving black German Shepherds! Both of these lovely girls -- a mom and her pup -- with stunning black coats were rescued from a crowded California shelter, and they are very bonded. Grace & Katie are also good with other dogs and lovely with people. Grace, the mama dog, is about 5 years old, and Katie is a 2-year-old girl now. Both dogs have also done fairly well around cats but would need to be monitored. Katie weighs about 60-65 lbs, and Grace weighs about 71-75 lbs. They've waited a long time for a home because we are trying to place them together, so if you can open your home to two dogs, please email for an application. They also need a foster! We also offer discounted adoption fees for pairs.

Story
*Meet Eli: The Comeback King * Eli isn’t just any dog—he’s a survivor with a heart of gold. This 6-year-old gentle soul has been on quite the journey, and he’s ready to share the next (and best!) chapter of his life with a forever family. When Eli first came to us, he tipped the scales at 88 pounds and moved through life with sore, damaged knees. But with love, medical care, and a whole lot of determination, he’s transformed. Today, Eli is a healthy 60 pounds, walking strong after successful TPLO surgeries on both knees. He’s living proof that second chances (and healthy snacks!) make all the difference. Eli’s favorite things are the simple joys—lounging near his people, soaking up sunshine, and keeping a steady routine. He isn’t looking for wild adventures; instead, he thrives in calm, stable environments where he can be someone’s shadow and steady source of comfort. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, but his gentle, easygoing nature means he prefers companions who respect his space. He also manages pannus, a condition that causes some vision loss. With daily eye drops (which he takes like a champ), Eli stays comfortable and happy. Because of his limited vision, a quieter home without young kids is the best match for him. The monthly cost for his eye drops is about $35. When adopted we will send him with several months supply. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-key friend who will curl up beside you and remind you every day of the beauty of resilience, Eli is your guy. After everything he’s been through, he’s ready to settle into the loving, forever home he truly deserves. Eli's adoption fee is $250. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and will come with his eye drops. If you are interested in possibly adopting Eli, please complete an adoption application located here: https://idawg.org/application.html

Story
Kenai just turned 4 in October and is a German-Sheppard mix, but we do not know what he is mixed with. He is a sweet dog who has good recall, but has a lot of energy and some anxiety. He is currently in a loving home with two other dogs and two small children, but unfortunately with our schedules and time we are just finding it hard to keep up and give him the most love and attention as well as getting him out. He is great with our kids and the other dogs, but has moments where he gets more anxious or growls. He also tends to guard food, but is able to eat right next to our other two dogs and has never been aggressive he just sounds rough. However, as soon as you say his name he listens. I think he would do better in a home without kids overall though since he is easily stressed out with kids in the 4-10 range and their activity. He is well house trained, loves to run and play, can fetch very well and has been socialized with many other dogs and people. He truly is such a loving pup!
