Story
Hi! I'm Mike. I was born at St Francis 18 months ago. They tell me I’m a German Shepherd mix. I'm shy & timid at first. But, it doesn’t take me long to warm up to someone. I just need someone with the patience to let me learn to love them at my own pace. Once I get to know you a little, I’m good for some snuggles. I also like to go for walks and maybe even jog if you'd like.I’ve lived my whole life at St Francis. Well, all except the 3 months I went to live at the Marion prison. While there I was so busy learning manners & meeting people I didn't have time to be scared. I even earned my K-9 Good Citizen certificate. That means I know how to walk nicely on a leash, sit, lie down, stay, and come when called. I take treats like a gentleman. Boy do I love treats! I don’t beg for them or take them without permission but if you want to share a hot dog with me I wouldn’t turn you down. I'd really love a forever home. But, if you've got what it takes to be my in-between (foster), I'd be more than happy to live with you for a while. If you'd like to meet me I’ll be hanging out here at St Francis waiting. Please, please fill out the application here:Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adoptPlease visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Rush - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Rush is an Old English word meaning 'weaver' usually using the reeds known as rushes. And let me tell you, that name suits me as I'm a real pro at weaving...weaving my way right up into your heart!!! I'm a youngster coming in at around 6 months. What a perfect age to be your lil spongey sidekick...soaking up everything! I'm affectionate with people both tall and small, get on good with the other foster pups but haven't met any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. Being active and playful I'd do great in a home with another playful 'sibling' or as your adventure buddy getting all the attention. I come in at right around 36lbs and will make a fabulous mediumish size boy to share in all your activities whether it's monitoring your yardwork skills to making sure you have a blast on our action packed adventures. Whatever is your preference I'm game on giving it a whirl!! My beautiful short coat is low in the maintenance department making me more of a wash-n-go type of fella. Perfect for being ready to go at the drop of a hat!! I've got a moderate energy level which will require some daily exercise and playtime but with that in I should do just fine in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. Are you in need of a BFF to share in all your daily going on's? A sidekick to be by your side for those action adventures? A cohort in crime. hehehe I can be that, no problem!? OMGosh, that sound just like you're searching for ME!!! Stop scrolling and hurry to fill out my adoption application and we can be on our way to having sooooo much fun!!

I am with another rescue that is having a family emergency. If interested in adopting me, Hay Dude Rescue will pull me into their rescue to complete my adoption. My name is Laurel and if you're in search of a gorgeous gal that is as beautiful on the inside as the out, look no further! I'm pretty much a mellow, laid back, go with the flow kind of gal that would be great for a first time pet parent. I am around 3 years, a tad bit shy at first meet (I warm up quickly) but very sweet and playful. I do fantastic with everyone... other dogs and people both tall and small. I would make a great addition for just about any family that is looking for a sweetie to add joy to their life. Although I haven't yet met any of those strange smelling creatures y'all call a cat. I am already house trained so that will leave lots of time for us to get right to the fun stuff. I do love going for my walks whether it's around the neighborhood or going on a sniffari on nature trails. I had been mostly an outside dog :( but I'm quickly catching on to the softer side of life and have already mastered the outside to potty concept! I come in at around 50lb which is a pawsome size to tag along on all your adventures from the mundane to the exciting! Are you in search of a family addition that will be there by your side, a constant in your life thru all your daily going on's? A BFF to share your joys and sorrows? WAIT, stop scrolling, I am that gal!!!

Story
Meet Cashaw, he is a terrific dog. We think he is a shepherd/husky mix maybe and he has one half brown half blue eye. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 60 lbs.  His owners surrendered him because they said they didn't have enough time for him anymore. They had him since he was a puppy. He lived with 3 kids and cats. He is also good with other dogs. He would love a fenced in yard and to go hiking or running.  He is well behaved and is housebroke and crate trained. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Cashaw’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Jackson is a 1 year old Sheppard (maybe Akita) mix and weights around 40-45lbs.  He was a little shy (confused) when I first got him but he warmed up after a little snooping around to make sure everything was OK.  He wants to be petted and be next to you.  He is not a lapdog but just wants you around.    Jackson enjoys going on walks and doesn't pull to hard.  Jackson is potty trained and goes to the door when he wants to go outside in the back yard.  He loves to play, play, play with my dog and they have started to get better acquainted than the first couple of days. If you have a nice toy rope, he will have fun for hours for whoever wants to play tug of war.    He is such a sweet dog and just wants all the attention that can be offered and will make you feel like the most special person.  He just wants a great home to be able to lay by your side and enjoy life. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
Sherman is a big love and a rescue favorite! He is housebroken, easy going, loves walks, plays with toys and cuddles. He is an all around great dog looking for a chill house hold to enjoy his golden years in. As most GSD he has hip dysplasia in left hip and this has caused some right front leg arthritis but with his supplements and pain meds that doesn't stop him from having a good time. His meds will cost around $110- 140/month depending on medication / supplement combos. He currently is getting monthly injections for pain which is the cheaper route. He is good with dogs but would prefer to be the one and only as he only has eyes for his people.  Poor Sherman was surrendered by family members when his mom got dementia and fell and hurt herself. He laid by her bed and was protective of her and the family felt it best to rehome him. His crime was loving her too much and being a German Shepherd!  If you can handle being loved that much, apply today! If you are interested in meeting Sherman, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
