Story
I’m Solstice - a fluffy and playful pup looking for my forever home! I was found with my two siblings in a ditch in rural MO at 6 weeks old.    I’m fantastic with the kids in my foster home and all their friends. I prefer not to be picked up all the time and would rather just chase, chew and play tug o war.  Belly rubs are also a must.     At night, I sleep  in my kennel in the bedroom, and during the day I enjoy playing with the other dogs in my foster home. Like any puppy, I’ll need a family with patience and time to continue my training. I was spayed and microchipped on 1/23 and have received two rounds of vaccinations. Until I finish up all of my puppy vaccinations, it’s best to keep me from public places. Think we might be a match?  Please fill out an application.     If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
If you are a German Shepherd lover, then you will love Zeus. He is a dream. His foster mom wasn't crazy about that breed until she started fostering Zeus. He is so perfect and well mannered. We are guessing that he is about 4 years old. He was running as a stray in rural Missouri. He is good with dogs, foster mom has 7 dogs in her home. He is crate trained and housebroke. However, he is going through heartworm treatment and getting his 2nd and 3rd injections on February 9th and February 10th. He will need to stay calm for about 2 months afterwards but he can go on short walks.  If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Zeus’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. Story
If you love German shepherds, then meet Gretchen. She is about a year and a half and is good with male dogs so far. She does not like cats and probably no small children due to her size. She if very people friendly. She came from a rural area of Missouri as a stray. She is a working breed so needs exercise or a job to keep her happy.  She may need a 6 ft fence but we haven't tested her with a 4 ft fence yet. If you know the breed you will fall in love with her. Right now she is at the vet in boarding but we wanted to get her on the website to see if anyone may be interested in her, then we will bring her into a foster home and know if she is housebroke and crate trained.  If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
Seren Sadie is currently enrolled in the 12 week Puppies 4 Parole program through the Mo Department of Corrections.  She will graduate around January 15th and will be available for adoption at that time.  If you are interested in adopting Seren Sadie, please complete an application and the foster parent will contact you. Meet Seren Sadie a medium sized girl with a beautiful reddish coat. She is dog friendly and would love to have a dog friend in her new home. Sadie has not been cat tested, so not sure how she would do with cats. SHe would do great with older considerate kids.   Sadie has medium energy. She likes being outside, but wants her person to be outside with her. Sadie also enjoys walks, and does walk well with a harness.   House and crate trained. She prefers being crated at night near her people. If you would allow her to sleep with you even better.   Sadie rides quietly in the car. Sadie does have some stranger danger, and is leery around new people at first. She does best when visitors just ignore her and let her come to them on her terms. She does bark at new people and sounds, so may not do well in a apartment setting    Sadie is a really sweet dog but needs someone who will be patient with her and give her time to trust her new family. Once Sadie is comfortable with you, she will be your shadow. She is not much of a snugglier, but does like to be near you. Sadie really likes chicken as a treat, which can be used to build trust. With time and treats Sadie will be the perfect companion!     If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.
