Luna is a white German Shepherd who was picked up as a stray by Peoria County Animal Protection Services with a yeast infection on her skin and in her ears. She was already microchipped when picked up and her owner was contacted. The owner stated that Luna had lived with kids, cats, and dogs but that she no longer wanted her. Since then, she has come to SAMS where her ear and skin infection has cleared up and her fur is growing back slowly but surely. I got Maeve when she was 8 weeks old from a farm in North Carolina. She is two and a half years old now and I'm looking to rehome her with a family that has lots of space for her to run around and play in. I live in an apartment right now with two cats and she does not get along well with them. She is not aggressive towards them, but she likes to chase them around and this has been a chronic issue with her. I want her to have space to roam and play when she wants to and having other dogs for her to play with would be even better. I am only willing to give her to someone that will love her and provide her with the care and freedom she needs. She is very sweet with people and listens well to all of the commands I've taught her.
