Story
Loki is a loyal, loving boy once he trusts you. He is 7 years old, playful, loves fetch and car rides, and his favorite treats are Ol Roy peanut butter bones. He will need time to adjust in a new home and has shown aggression with strangers, so he must go to an experienced, adult-only, pet-free household. Loki has some coat/skin issues but is otherwise a sweet, spoiled companion who will be your best friend once he warms up. Looking for a calm, stable forever home. Adjectives: Protective, affectionate, playful, loyal. Call or text, maybe slow in reply due to odd working hours.

Story
Finn is a great dog. He is well behaved but also has energy to run around outside and go on long walks. He loves playing fetch as well. Finn does have EPI so he requires prescription medicine to go with his food. We are hoping to find someone who can give him more time and attention than we currently can.

Oliver is 8 years old and we’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old. He has a lot of energy and is very sweet but he does not do well with other dogs or young children. Reason for rehoming is we just had a baby last year and we have to keep him separated from the baby.

Story
I'm Lulu and although I'm an older girl I still have lots of love to give. I would be best in a home that's nice a quiet. I love to be pet but in my older years I wouldn't want young children climbing on me. I am a good girl on the leash and am potty trained. I love my blankets and will take it from you so I can put it just how I want it. Please come meet me and consider me in your home for my final years. I promise that I will show you all the love!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Squanto the good boy moved inside from the kennels sand so far there has not been one single potty accident in the house, not even in his crate. Hes great with the cats, hes interested in them and really wants them to play with him but he gets the point if they hiss or swat. Hes doing great with all of the dogs big and small, old and young, grouchy and grouchier. He wants to PLAY so hes like an annoying little brother right now trying to figure out which dogs might want to play and who to steer clear of. We have learned that Squanto needs slow introduction to new dogs! He LOVES toys, especially a nice bouncy ball that he can throw around and chase. He has not chewed anything up so far, but we do keep lots of toys around to help prevent the dogs from chewing things they arent supposed to. He is my shadow and follows me everywhere. He can go outside with me off leash and stay with me. He will stop on a dime when you make the tcha tcha sound (you know the one we all automatically do to get the attention of any animal) and he can walk around with the chickens and leaves them alone. He thought maybe one would play and be his friend but when it trotted off Squanto just went about his business. He knows his name but should quickly learn a new name also as he picks things up quickly. Hes young so he does have energy but he isnt over the top and he will knock it off when told if hes getting carried away. Squanto is the perfect dog in every way EXCEPT, he needs slow and proper introduction to new people! He is extremely protective and when someone new shows up and he is not acclimated to them slowly, his first instinct is to try to bite. This is very much a trainable issue and can be corrected over time. He will bite a stranger that is in his personal space while on leash. Adopters with experience with reactive dogs and even better reactive German shepherds is definitely recommend. All that said, once you are his people he is seriously so great. No aggression what so ever towards anyone he is used to. He loves to play and run with our 9 year old son and has never gotten sideways at all with him. He is just a dog that someone has let down and we are trying hard to help him get over the issues someone else caused. He is the most loyal dog you will find. perfectly crate trained and potty trained. He just needs a home that understands his needs Squanto is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and negative, microchipped, and treated for parasites.
