Kash is a 4-year-old male German Shepherd mix who found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own, surrendered alongside his two brothers (not by blood), Simba and Gus. Having lived in a home before, Kash was deeply attached to his previous owner, and the sudden change has been hard on him. His first week at the shelter was understandably confusing and emotional, but with patience, consistency, and lots of love from our dedicated staff, Kash is already making progress and growing more comfortable every single day. Kash can be wary of new people at first, but once he knows he’s safe, his true personality shines. He is an absolute lover who adores pets—so much so that he’ll gently paw at you if you stop before he’s ready. He’s also a world-class snuggler and will happily lean his whole body into you before softly collapsing into your lap. He does well with other dogs who respect his boundaries and will need slow, thoughtful introductions. Kash can quietly coexist with other pups and prefers enjoying his chew bones on his own. He has not shown interest in cats and does well with older children who understand and respect his space. Kash is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, making his transition into a home that much smoother. All he truly needs is patience, understanding, and a safe place to land. We believe that once Kash leaves the shelter and settles into a loving home, he’ll continue to blossom into the happy, affectionate companion we know he can be. If you’re looking to give a deserving, gentle soul a second chance and have the heart to let him move at his own pace, Kash may just be your perfect match.

Story
Shiba was a rescue found on the streets back in 2016, this puts her estimated age around 10 years old. She gets along well with our pomeranian, and our oldest husky mix but not our Shiba Inu therefore we are looking for a new home for her where she will get the attention and exercise she needs. She has never had any medical issues and is extremely fit, she knows basic commands and is very well behaved on walks. Message me to set up a time to meet Shiba and see if she will be the right fit for you!

Togo came to us from Wichita Animal Shelter. He was listed as a stray and on the euthanasia list. We previously adopted Togo out to a family who invested in his training. He has been a model dog for their family. However, they needed to move and were forced to make a decision to return Togo to us. Togo is a GSD/Husky/possibly Malamute mix. True to his GSD side, he is loyal and intelligent. The Husky brings out the drama and escape artist. The Malamute, his calm, aloof, but headstrong nature. He knows how to sit and lay down. He has been working hard to walk on a leash nicely and to limit his jumping. His quirks: He is a jumper and can clear a 6ft fence. He is a big boy and will knock you over if you aren’t prepared, so small children may be a risk. Togo needs to be in with a family and spoiled rotten. If you are interested in a lifetime of devotion, Togo is your guy.

She is just stunning! VooDoo is a 6-year-old shepherd mix*. She is a smart cookie and loves to learn new things. She is great on a leash and would make a great running or walking partner. VooDoo is friendly and loves everyone she meets. She is dog friendly. If you have one in your home, we require a meet and greet to be sure the fit is right. We think she would want to chase a cat so we recommend a home without felines. VooDoo is an energetic girl and we want her to have a fully fenced yard to run nd play in safely. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tony, a smart and loyal 3 year old German Shepherd Husky mix! This handsome guy has the perfect mix of energy and heart, not to mention good looks, too!  He is dog and people friendly, always eager to make new friends he has done particularly well at doggie daycare even! Tony is still learning that not everyone on a walk needs a personal greeting, however with continued leash training, he will be a pro walking partner in no time!  At home, Tony is loyal and well-mannered. He is house trained and knows his basic commands like sit, stay, down, and focus. He is not one for cuddling on the couch or sleeping in bed, he seems to prefer a snooze on the floor nearby. He would love a home with a 6 foot tall fenced in yard where he can run and play safely. This young boy has energy to spare and would thrive with an active family or with continued doggie daycare even. Tony has never shown aggression and tends to be more submissive with other dogs, he has not been introduced to cats or young children. Tony's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, and current vaccinations and preventatives. Tony is seeking an indoor only home and Last Hope requires that all adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and kept current on annual vaccinations/ monthly preventatives.
