Lilly believes that she is a lap dog. She loves to snuggle and be pet. Very playful and loves doggy daycare. Needs a very active home! She will become destructive with toys and bark a lot if she isn’t active! I know as I have a severe shoulder injury and I am unable to walk her. While she loves kids Lilly will jump and knock small kids over without realizing it. Will chase cats if they run but the cat she currently lives with she just wants to give kisses and lay next to. Prefer adult home with someone who wants a a snuggle buddy but loves to walk and hike.

Clover is settling in and doing great at his foster home but he is more than ready to find his furever home .    Clover is a 6 year old shepherd mix who’s a big boy weighing in at 94lbs. His previous owner was forced to give him up after being no longer able to care for him. Despite this huge change he adapted well to life at his foster home.    This gentle giant loves humans of all sizes but especially children . He has been used to being the only dog but has done fine in with his 4 legged foster sibling, although he isn’t much for playing. Clover has also done well around cats although sometimes he can seem a bit stressed around them.    His favorite thing to do is to play fetch. He would do this for hours if he was allowed! He does kennel fairly well but prefers not to have the door closed. Clover also does well roaming the house. Meet Claire, a sweet young girl who came to us from a valued rescue partner. Claire found herself out on her own at a South Dakota reservation. When the big dogs started to pick on her, the rescuers decided it was time to scoop her up. Claire is estimated to be about a year old. She definitely still has some puppy behaviors and is learning to walk on a leash. Claire is so affectionate and loves being around people and does well with other dogs. Minerva came to us from a valued rescue partner. Her family had decided to give her up. We are unsure why as she such a well-behaved girl. They obviously took care of her as she was well fed and is “a bit” overweight. Minerva walks nicely on leash and acts like she’s been kennel trained in the past as she hopped right in the kennel for transport. She is potty trained and knows some basic commands. This time around, Minerva is looking for a forever home. So, if you are looking for a nice, ready-made pet, look no further. Adoption fee $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Meet Lucy and Ricky! (They need to be adopted together)This adorable bonded pair has been with each other through thick and thin. They originally came to PCHS back in 2021 and were here for a few months and were adopted. After 4 and half years they found their way back to us through no fault of their own. Their family was moving to an assisted living program and could not take the dogs with. Understandably, they are a bit unsure being back in shelter but they are adjusting quickly. We are hoping their stay with us can be short. They enjoy going out for walks, getting attention and chilling on a nice comfy dog bed. They have lived with cats and have done well with them. Not only are they cat friendly, but they are used to be around kids from ages 2-12 years. These two would make a great addition to almost any household. *Ricky does have an old injury to his hip/tail so he walks with a bit of a `hitch` in his step but it does not seem to cause pain. Once you submit an application, a staff member will contact you about next steps on how to meet them.***Meet Nick and Judy! These two sweethearts found their way to Animal Control when they were left abandoned and tied to a tree. Unfortunately, they escaped their collars and were running loose as they were very scared. Once they were caught, and they realized they were safe, they let their true personalities come through.While we do not know what they are mixed with and we do not have a ton of history on them, we do know that these two BFF`s are so deserving of a stable forever home.
