Story
8yr old rescue dog that gets along well with other dogs after acclimation period. Lived with two cats for 8 years. Also with two small kids for 8 years. I’ve got a full time job now that I’m not a stay-at-home, so she won’t get the attention she deserves. Goes on runs a lot, loves running while I’m on roller blades, long board, bike. Loves swimming and going on paddle boards and boats, hikes. Knows shake, sit, lay down, bed. Riley would like a home with someone to take her on walks every day and give her the love and attention she deserves. The only payment I ask is for the supply of tick/flea preventative and food I buy ahead of time

Story
Hi! My name is Klaus I am a 1 year old, neutered male German Shepherd mix. I am microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Energetic, playful and smart Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends at the shelter say I am a smart guy (because of how food motivated I am, I love learning new things and I catch on super fast). Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 9 Housetraining Status: I could use some work with house training but with some time to adjust to a new routine and patience I should catch on pretty fast I would do well in a home with: I would do well in a home with older kids (ages 5 and up), my friends at the shelter are unsure how I could do in a home with cats but I can seem unsure sometimes around other dogs. Because of this, my friends ask that a dog meet with any resident dogs must be done prior to adoption. My favorite activities are: I love playing with my toys and being with my people... OH! and especially eating my favorite snacks Things I need work on are: I could use work on my leash walking skills as I get over excited and pull sometimes. I could also use a little more work on my basic manners, I do know sit, shake and down but I would love to continue to learn Any special needs: N/A Doggy Day Out Notes: On my doggy day out I was described as being excitable, friendly, calm, curious and they also talked about how much I like playing fetch. They also said "Klaus loved his doggy day out! He is a very excitable boy who is curious on walks and loves to be out and alert. He does great on car rides, real calm, submissive and quiet. He could use some work on his jumpiness and taking items that don't belong to him but with some simple redirection he will learn in no time! Klaus is a sweet, friendly boy who was a joy to have out." Daycare Status: I did pretty well at Raise the Woof Daycare! Ask staff to see my report card! Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Belle, Belle is a stunning 3-year-old GSD/Siberian Husky mix with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes. She’s the perfect blend of loyalty, smarts, and playful energy—and she’s ready to find her forever home! Belle is truly a social butterfly. She’s amazing with elderly folks, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or playing in the yard, Belle loves being part of the action—and she absolutely thrives in a home with other furry friends. She hasn’t been tested with kids but we’re sure she’d do fine with middle aged or older kids. Belle will only be adopted out to a home with another dog and she needs to be allowed to free roam when you’re gone because otherwise she gets separation anxiety. She needs a fenced in back yard because she doesn’t like to go to the bathroom on a leash. That said, she’s got a curious, playful streak, so if left unattended outside her crate, she might just find a little “project” to entertain herself with (you’ve been warned—LOL). Belle would do best in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and explore. She’s an incredible companion—sweet, loyal, and full of love—and she’s looking for a home that will cherish her just as much as she’ll cherish you. Belles other quirk is she only likes to go to the bathroom if she’s off leash. 📍being fostered in Steven’s Point, WI 🏁My adoption fee is $350 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. ✅You can apply directly at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog?fbclid=IwAR2NSCms13xrrfdH2mAbM1hPg5dQoC0ruvNJI3TsFtZtsWp9PvNx46zC6SM 501(c)(3) Approved WI Agricultural Licence#285589-DSR
