Story
Rugar is a big, roudy, playful, protective, loud, affectionate, smart baby. He is very protective and can act aggressive. He barks. He's big so he's intimidating. Rugar is good with other dogs. He's good with older kids. He's big and doesn't realize his strength and may knock down smaller kids. He's very smart and learns fast. Rugar would actually do better with a male in charge. He responds much better to men than women. Rugar is 4 yrs old. He's a good boy! I am 71 and now recuperating from a broken hip. Yes, Rugar took me down. He was in a frenzy running outside a lady's fenced yard, chasing her dogs. She has 5. I am forced to keep Rugar on a leash/chain. Something I said I would never do! He's miserable! He needs to be able to run.

Adoption Fee: $10 Includes: Spay/Neuter, Rabies, Microchip, DA2PP, Pyrantel, Nasal BordatellaAge: 2 years oldWeight: 54 lbsIf you are interested in meeting and adopting or have any questions please call the Lee`s Summit Animal Shelter at 816-969-1640 to schedule an appointment.***BEHAVIOR TEST***DOG TEST: (Good with Dogs) Judy is still quite shy around dogs here at the shelter and would benefit from further socialization. She is starting to open up and loves to play bow and run with other dogs. CAT TEST: (Okay with Cats) Judy has met a cat at the shelter and seemed to not have an interest. She would be okay in a home with cats. KID TEST: (Okay with Older Kids) We do not believe that Judy has ever been around kids. Judy seems like she would do best with older kids due to her size and tendancy to jump. HOUSE BROKEN: (Needs Work) Judy does not seem to be completely potty trained. Judy will potty outside when given the opportunity. ENERGY LEVEL: (High) Judy loves being outside more than anything. She loves running around the backyard with toys in her mouth. Judy is still learning how to play fetch but is getting the hang of it! Judy loves to be glued to your side and tends to take to people quickly. LEASH WALKING: (Needs Work) Judy is eager to go on walks and tends to pull out of excitement! Judy would benefit from more leash training. KNOWN COMMANDS: Sit (Yes) Down (No) Stay (No) Shake (No) Drop (No)

Story
Ivory is a 4 year old female white German shepherd. She’s potty trained and up to date on vaccines. She stays in her kennel while we’re at work but is out all night with no issues. She loves chewing on her bones/toys and laying with you. We have been fostering her since June but are now looking for a permanent home for her. She is not spayed but we would be willing to contribute $400 to getting her fixed if you adopt her. She was previously in a home with another dog and a young child without issues. We hope we can find a loving home for this sweet girl!
