Story
Ian is an energetic, life-of-the-party type! He loves adventures, walks, hikes, camping, car rides- anything and everything youre willing to do with him! He wants to be fully included in your life! He has medium energy- he does need his exercise, but hes not a marathon-runner by any means! With a good run, walk or play session, he can absolutely calm down and relax in the house. He loves toys (not so much bringing them back 🤣) - and you can often find him running around with one, throwing it in the air to himself... he also loves playing in his kiddie-pool, making all the fun splashes and making sure his toys get a good rinse! He has basic obedience- sit, down, place, focus and is working on his recall! He walks well on leash and is crate trained. Typical to his breed and age, Ian can be a little mouthy and jumpy when he plays, so he needs a fair but firm leader, who makes sure the rules and boundaries are always the same (no jumping on me always means no jumping!). We do recommend older kids around ian (kids 12 and up) due to that jumping and mouthiness. He could easily knock over a little one on accident. Ian enjoys playing with other friendly dogs and only chases the cats a little- he would be ok with cats if his interactions were always monitored with them. Ian's striking looks are always a conversation-starter as well as a natural deterrent for burglars, but his personality is really what you'll fall in love with. Hes sweet, hes silly, hes loyal, hes forgiving and hes always there for you.

Devi is a stunning 3-5 year old Belgian Malinois. Devi has some basic obedience, walks well on a leash, has good food and ball drive, is crate trained, vaccinated, spayed and LOVES PEOPLE! She wants to say hi to all the new people, especially if they have treats for her or can be convinced to play fetch with her. We have not had a chance to test her with children yet. Miss Devi is a medium energy adventure buddy. She wants to be included in everything you do and everywhere you go. Devi is one of the sweetest, cuddliest girls out there and would LOVE to meet you! Devi would prefer to be the only doggo in the home as she is dog selective and she is *not* a fan of little critters (including small dogs and cats).

THIS DOG IS AVAILABLE FOR OUR **FOREVER FOSTER PROGRAM** PLEASE REACH OUT FOR INFO!! Aleah is a very good girl, but a she is still very puppy-like and can be mouthy. She knows sit, down, focus and place and walks well on a leash. She’s crate trained and potty trained! Aleah is a tripod but it doesn’t slow her down at all! Aleah is a typical German Shepherd. She loves all people, but doesn’t understand her size, so probably no young kids. She does have prey-drive, but she has low stamina and can’t bank corners 🤣 Aleah is goofy and playful but needs an adopter who will set clear and consistent rules and boundaries with her. When it comes to needing to take things from her, we always offer her a trade, and she LOVES to trade. Aleah has grown up a lot over the years and absolutely loves chilling on the couch or outside, just watching the world go by. She does enjoy playing with our large, male dog-testing dog, but she does not share well with other dogs- not food or toys . We are recommending a home with no other dogs. Aleah will absolutely light up your life and you won’t be sorry to bring her into your home ❤️

Audrey!! This adorable gal is looking for a foster or forever home! She’s around 5 years old, loyal and devoted to her loved ones and so curious! Audrey loves being around her people and loves hard. She would follow you to the moon. Although Audrey is very timid with new men, she warms up to women quickly! Any men in her life should be willing to actively participate in her daily routines to help her learn to trust. Audrey is crate trained, has basic obedience training, is house broken and walks well on leash. She loves car rides, taking walks and hikes, playing with her favorite human, cuddling on the couch or bed. Honestly, Audrey LOVES ANYTHING that you’re doing with her. She can play with friendly, outgoing, non dominant dogs her size and larger, but only after proper introductions. Audrey does not want to go to the dog park. She would be happiest as an only pet! Kids 12 years old and up are good, she just wants a little respect in her spaces. No kitty cats. Audrey will come with FREE TRAINING FOR LIFE! Ask us how!!

Triumph is looking for a foster or adopter!! This poor fella came to us needing an amputation but has healed very well! Having 3 legs is no big deal for this handsome guy. He is low energy, happy to lay around and keep an eye on things or go for a nice walk at the park. He can be a little bark-y at other dogs, but he’s working on not being such a talker! Triumph walks well on a leash, acts polite in public, is crate trained and working on his obedience skills! He adores people, loves cuddles and is happy to chill on the couch bingeing your favorite show or chilling in the yard watching the world go round and keeping an eye for anything suspicious. You won’t be disappointed if you give this handsome guy a chance!!

Story
Meet Nyx — The Loyal Shadow with a Splash of Adventure 🖤 In a quiet little kingdom where loyalty is treasured above all, there walks a noble guardian named Nyx. At 9 years old, Nyx is the perfect blend of wisdom and playfulness—a German Shepherd who carries herself with quiet confidence, always keeping a watchful eye on the world around her. Like any good storybook companion, she’s the kind of dog who will walk faithfully at your side, your steady shadow through every chapter of life. But don’t let her stoic presence fool you—Nyx has a playful streak that shines like sunlight through the trees. She loves a good car ride (the kind where ears flap in the wind and every scent tells a story) and absolutely adores splashing in the water. For Nyx, every puddle, lake, or stream is an invitation to play. Inside the home, she’s nothing short of a professional. House trained? Flawless. Kennel trained? Of course. She understands the rhythm of a home and settles in like she’s always belonged there. As with many loyal guardians, Nyx forms deep bonds with her people—and with that devotion can come a bit of separation anxiety. She simply prefers her story to include you whenever possible. With patience, understanding, and consistency, she’ll continue to grow more confident in her independence. Nyx has shared her tale with another dog before, but as every good storyteller knows, not all characters are the same—so a meet and greet with any potential canine companions is strongly recommended. As for cats… Nyx has made it quite clear they are not part of her preferred storyline. If you’re looking for a steadfast companion, a gentle protector, and a playful adventurer wrapped into one incredible dog, Nyx is ready to step into her next chapter—with you as her hero. Every great story needs a loyal shadow… and Nyx is ready to be yours. 🐾 City of Fallon Animal Shelter 775-423-2282

Sierra is another one of our embankment mals! She can still be slightly timid with new men, but is very social once she gets to know you! Sierra is a goofy goofy girl with a deformed front leg. That leg doesn’t slow her down one bit! Sierra is still super active and loves going for adventures in the car and on hikes. Sierra is still working on her doggy socialization skills and obedience, but is coming along well. She is crate trained and does walk well on leash. No small animals or dog parks for Sierra.

Looking for your loyal ride-or-die partner? Look no further thank handsome whisky! He's smart, hes observant, hes loving, hes calculated. Whisky loves all adventures- hiking, car rides, camping, long walks on the beach. He wants to go everywhere with you, but does enjoy his independent moments. He is on the lower end of medium energy and is content with a good walk or play session before settling in for a good movie. Whisky is neutral with dogs and cats. He may be interested and/or play a little bit, but he really prefers to do.his own thing when it comes to other animals- perimeter checks, water quality and depth asessments.. Whisky is not working-drive but in his mind, he still has important things to do. Whisky has basic obedience training, hes crate-trained, walks well on leash and has pretty good recall- hes a turn-key guy! Whisky is pretty easily won over by treats, but as with most malinois, proper introductions to strangers is key. Whisky would do best in a home without kids.

Story
Mamma Mia is part of our embankment mals! She and 6 others were rescued off a 20’ embankment. They had to be trapped and then the trap drug up the embankment to rescue them. They were all severely underweight and were very timid with people upon entering rescue. Considering the state they were in, these are some of the most forgiving and resilient dogs I’ve ever met. Mamma Mia is medium energy, crate trained, has started basic obedience and is big-dog social. She walks well on leash and has done well out in public!! She absolutely ADORES affection, likes playing with toys and is food driven. She’s very smart and was the protector of the other embankment dogs. The other mals took her lead for everything. Mamma adores people and gives anyone willing one of the best hugs you could imagine. Even with everything she’s been through, she is loving and appreciative. Mamma Mia would be OK for a first-time Malinois owner as long as you’re willing to take a little direction! She can be a little food-aggressive with other dogs, so we do recommend separated feeding- she’s GREAT in her crate and loves having her meals in there! No small animals for her.
