Story
Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you. We have a cost effective transporter that has stops in most north eastern states. She runs every 2 weeks. Please note! Don't just apply just because she has a cheap adopt fee. You must prove you can afford to adopt regardless! I find that most of the folks who apply for my reduced fee dogs back out when they realize they are still responsible for the transport fee. If this applies to you please don't waste our time!Scarlett was born 2-1-21. Her mom was a german shepherd golden mix. We are not positive what dad was. Scarlett is active and very loving. She is good with people and ok with other dogs her size. She is too playful for small dogs. She needs a large dog only home. She is NOT good with cats. She needs an active home with room to run. She would not do well in a cramped up apartment with no exercise. She is house trained and crate trained,This baby will go home spayed and current on vaccinations, deworming, flea preventives, started on heartworm prevention and microchipped. This pup will receive a health certificate issued by our vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all his health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to apply. You can get that on our main website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can deliver to your location or one of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a transporter who delivers north ever other week. Sheldon came from a local shelter. They were over full and he was in danger of being euthanized. He is a german shepherd mix. The vet said he is around 2 years old( as of 6-22-23). He is a tall lanky dog, around 65 to 70 pounds. He is a sweet boy and very affectionate. He needs a home with room to run. He is energetic and would need an adopter who can embrace it. He will make THE BEST hiking buddy ever. He likes water to. He would be best in a home where he can be the only dog. If he can't be an only dog he needs a home with a large breed submissive female. He would also do well with puppies. He is doing well with crate training and house training. He will go to his new home current on vaccines, testing, preventives, neutered and microchipped. He will receive a complete physical by our vet prior to going home. He will also be issued a certificate of Health. The adopter will get all the health records with adoption. We require a pre screen application to adopt. You can get that on our website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Shirley is an adult spayed female German Shepherd. Shirley is a fun and active dog. She can be selective about who she likes when it comes to other dogs. Shirley would do best in a home that is willing to give her some rules and structure.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $60 fee for any animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.October 27, 2024, 2:06 pm

Story
Taffy is ready for her new home! She is affectionate, friendly, great with kids and dogs of all sizes. She hasn't been around cats yet, but we predict she will be good with cats if she grows up with one. Potty training is going well! Backstory: All the siblings are gorgeous babies! Their names are Bluebell, Taffy, Sunshine, Riley, Pepper, Cinnamon, and the one boy, Billy. These wonderful 9 week old pups were rescued from homelessness in South Texas, an area where there are so many dogs fending for themselves and not enough homes. Rather than allowing them to perpetuate the cycle, a kind soul reached out to Friends Fur Life Rescue, and our goal is to get these pups wonderful homes in the NE US and Canada. The puppies are ready for adoption super soon which is perfect timing now that summer vacations are over. We are taking applications NOW! Apply for one of these rescue puppies today! These will be wonderful family dogs. They are so friendly and smart. We aren't sure about the breed, and to be honest, most of our dogs from this area are a beautiful mix of several kinds of breeds. Lab, shepherd, husky, even a bit of chihuahua! It's always fun to do DNA tests and find out. We estimate that they'll grow up to be around 40 lbs. These are super sweet and gentle pups with great temperament. Interested? We can drive your adopted puppy to your area! If you like one of these cuties, and you're in driving distance to Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Brattleboro, Secaucus, or Hartford, please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup you like! Here's the link: https://sites.google.com/view/friendsfurlife/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! You would just need to drive to Buffalo or Syracuse to pick up.) There is NO transport fee. All is included in the adoption fee. All of our dogs are spayed, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!
