Mandy is desperately seeking a place to call her own!! She's been with us for several months now, and has completed her heartworm treatment. She's a calm, sweet girl that will bond well with one person or a family. She loves attention but can sit quietly by herself and relax. She also loves a good walk and is great on leash. Mandy was in a crowded kill shelter with her 10 puppies when we rescued them all. Her pups have found homes, but Mandy is still looking for her forever home. Mandy is good with other dogs, is crate trained, housebroken and fully vetted. For more info, email us!

"There is a gentleness in her eyes that I see. I hate to see healthy, non-aggressive animals euthanized". That was the email we received about weeks ago in regards to Eleanor. She was on her last day and no other rescue had stepped up to take her. We were really her last chance. 1 week later, and here she is with us. We named her after the finest car in "Gone in 60 Seconds". And, truly, if she got off her leash, she would be gone in about 0.6 seconds! Eleanor is painfully shy and scared but lets us love on her and doesn't try to get away. She does well in a crate. She needs work..lots of it, but in her eyes, we see hope too. She is not currently for adoption but can be sent to an experienced foster home. Reach out to us via email if you are interested in fostering Eleanor. She is a diamond in the rough.

Please note that Shepherds necessitate regular brushing and deshedding due to their undercoats. Adoption hours this week are Monday-Wednesday 11:00-3:30. The shelter will be closed from November 27-30 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you have another dog or kids at home, meet & greets are required.
