Story
Meet Kalli — also known as… Kallihari ??Like the Kalahari Waterpark, this Kallihari is full of fun, energy, and always ready for whatever the day brings.Kalli is about 3 years old and all the good things you love about a German Shepherd — smart, loyal, and happy to be wherever her humans are. She’s great with kids, easy to handle on the leash, and a proud member of the treat appreciation club.A normal day with Kalli might sound something like this:“Oh hey human… you want me to stand right here and look good for the camera while you make weird noises behind it? I got you.”“Oh hey human… is that a treat? Don’t worry, I can sit extra nice.”“Oh hey human… you grabbing the leash? Perfect. I was hoping you’d say that.”“Oh hey human… we going outside? Excellent plan.”Kalli is the kind of dog who is just happy to be part of whatever is going on. Walks, hanging out with the family, posing like a model for pictures — she’s all in.If you’re looking for a fun, sweet shepherd who’s ready to be your everyday sidekick, Kalli the Kallihari is ready to meet you. ??

Not good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I am Cocoa, a 4 year old German Shepherd. I was brought into The Shelter in September of 2025 because I was not treated well by my previous family. I am very social and friendly; I like my belly rubbed and to play fetch- my favorite toy is a squeaky ball. I am very smart and learn quickly and have been working on some basic commands and walking on a leash here. I like playing with other dogs and have some friends here, but for some other dogs my energy can be a lot, although I am good about entertaining myself and backing off, if another dog asks for space. I will need to be in a home where I can have plenty of exercise and fresh air with someone that has experience with my breed. I am very strong and don't know I don't fit in your lap, so I would not do well in a home with children under 10 years old. Although I like other dogs and playing with them I would do best being the only dog in the house.

Story
Meet Renee Renee is one of our absolute staff favorites — and we can’t believe she’s still waiting for her person. She often gets overlooked because she seems scared and unsure in her kennel. The shelter environment just isn’t her comfort zone. But the moment you take her out? It’s like meeting a completely different dog. Outside the kennel, Renee transforms into a total lovebug. She’s a lap dog at heart, soaking up affection and bonding quickly with her people. She’s also an adventure buddy through and through — always ready to explore, go for a hike, take a car ride, or join you on whatever fun the day brings. Renee is incredibly smart — honestly, a little too smart for her own good! She listens beautifully, picks up on cues quickly, and truly wants to please. With her fantastic listening skills and eager-to-learn personality, she would thrive with someone who enjoys an active, engaged companion. Renee just needs someone to look past the shy kennel exterior and see the amazing, loyal, fun-loving dog she truly is. Once you do, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her.

Story
Meet Bacon! 🐾 He is 2 years old! He is super calm, sweet, and gentle! He is very friendly around our two cats and extremely easy around our two kids(baby & toddler) He is house trained, and knows quite a few commands. Bacon would do very well with someone who can be home quite often and give him a lot of attention and exercise! Plus he’s very cuddly 🥹 We rescued him from a hard life and he just needs a home who will give him all the love forever!❤️
