Story
Meet Cora! Cora was brought to ICHS as a stray. This gorgeous shepherd is a high energy girl. She enjoys running around outside in our play yard and rolling around in the grass. Cora's favorite toys are ones that squeak. She is mischievous, goofy, and a lot of fun! Cora is a smart girl. She knows how to sit and give paw. When Cora has calmed down she is a very cuddly dog. She loves giving kisses and snuggling up with our shelter staff. Cora loves people and making new friends. When it comes to other dogs she seems to like most dogs, but can be selective. So if you are looking for an active and affectionate doggo, consider putting in an adoption application for Cora!Weight: 53 lbsActivity Level: High Primary Color: Black Age: 1yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Myra just said good-bye to her last litter of puppies. She won't have to worry about having puppies any more. Now she can enjoy just being a dog. Her ears are listening for signs that someone is interested in her. Myra is a 6 year old German Shepherd Dog who is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, lymes positive (this will need to be monitored for flare ups), flea treated, wormed, spayed, and microchipped. Myra is getting a little older and has some aches and pains, so we have her on several supplements that she would need to remain on after adoption. She is also on medication twice a day for pain/anxiety.  She tends to be a bit nervous when around strange people or in a new situation. Once she's comfortable though, she's very friendly.  She prefers to keep to herself or be with her person. She tolerates calm dogs in passing but would do best as an only dog. She does not appear to like cats. NO children because of her nervousness and activity level. Myra loves toys and loves to play alone or with her person. She does resource guard toys and high value items with people and animals. She is protective of her home and person and needs an adopter with previous breed experience. **Applications will not be screened if they do not meet the listed requirements.**

Story
Meet our big guy Ralphy! He is 2 years old. He tested well meeting other dogs and cats. He may be annoying to a resident cat at first so that will need some management. He has some sensitivity with his back end so children should be 8 years and older. He does not like being hugged or constrained, specifically for vet care so that should be noted for future vet visits. Otherwise he is a happy go lucky guy. He also likes to chomp on some fingers when he takes a treat - sorry in advance!

Story
Klara.... The beautiful momma. Klara is about 2 years old. She is your typical German Shepherd and NEEDS a shepherd knowledgeable individual. She will connect to her people. She isn't afraid to claim you as her person/people. She is loud (a lot of talk aka barking) and will run toward strangers to "scare" them off. She will need appropriate introductions to individuals. Once introduced (treats work wonders,) she wants all the pets. Klara can live with cats, but the cats must be used to a dog that might be all up in their face. Klara is very dog selective. She will need a dog that is willing to put up with her being a total bully and respect her boundaries. She wants to be alpha. She would do phenomenal as an only dog, but we will 100% do a visit with a dog that might be a decent match for her. Klara would do fine with older children that have been around shepherds before.PA Kennel License #1333
