Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.

Story

Aria is a sweet and kind dog. She was found playing with the neighborhood children. She’s a beautiful young dog who seems to like everyone she meets. She’s been around other dogs in the Kennel environment and has done very well so we suspect she could live with another dog. But as always, we would require a meet and greet at the Kennel to make sure they were compatible. I have to start by saying this is devastating to me to give him up. He has gone everywhere with me his whole life up until this past year. The only reason I'm doing this is my girlfriend and I are moving in together and she is petrified of him. OSIRIS IS A GREAT dog! He does not have accidents! I mean never! I live in a city so I keep him on a runner for his safety but it’s not really needed he just lingers around me but never goes to far. As for the adoption fee that will be waved once I find the right place for him. I’m hoping to some a farm or someone who has a large yard that he can be free in. He is so smart and learns so fast. Also you must have deadbolt locks on your doors because he can open ANY door even round handle ones. He has been around my children his whole life.

We are looking for a very special home for Mira, our beautiful 2.5-year-old White German Shepherd, as we want to ensure she has the best possible quality of life. Mira is an anxious and sensitive dog, especially with new people and environments. However, once she feels safe and gets to know you, she becomes affectionate and playful. She bonds strongly with her people and enjoys engagement, structure, and companionship. Due to our current living situation, a small apartment in a tall building and a not so active lifestyle, we feel that we are not the best match to meet Mira's needs in the way she deserves.
