Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.DAISY was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where she had been taken from a home on 3 September under cruelty charges, her collar embedded deep into her neck as well as having a heavy tick infestation. She received emergency surgery at the shelter to remove the collar and treat her wounds. We do not know what breed Daisy is, she has the looks of a German Shepherd, but at 2 years and being around 40 pounds, she is a definitely mixed with a smaller and definitely high energy breed. We have to guess what breed we think she is, so we ask potential adopters to do the same and do their due diligence on potential breed characteristics and lifestyle needs. Health & Background Estimated date of birth: 3 September 2024 ✅ Spayed ✅ Core vaccines & Rabies ✅ Heartworm disease tested negative ✅ Tick Disease - Anaplasmosis Positive (treated) Lyme, Ehrlichia Canis - Negative ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with 24PetWatch - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx. 37 pounds at end of October Personality & Demeanor From a horrible, life of suffering, neglect and abuse DAISY has the most joyful, beautiful, happy personalities. DAISY is definitely a very high energy dog who is very agile and can easily jump up on counter tops with no effort (ask me how I know lol). She is incredibly affectionate and wants to be as close as she can, sleeping at the side of the bed, laying at the side of the chair and going where ever I go. When I go out - she is looking out of the window and when she hears the car come back - her face is there at the window ready to let me know how happy she is that I am home. She is a prolific kisser in a way that it is as if she wants to show you how much she appreciates you saving her. If you do not like a dog that gives kisses, then she is most likely not the dog for you, or you must be willing to work with her on this. She can be demanding wanting affection and when told no, she will paw or give you a sad puppy dog attitidue where you could easily be weakened to let her get her own way, she is like that adorable teenager that you know you should say no to, but they have those manilpulative powers to try and get their own way. She is super smart and responsive and will be easy and fun to train. Compatibility & Home Life Other Dogs & Pets: She is fantastic with other dogs and loves all toys, she loves to run and chase and wrestle and is good with smaller and larger dogs. She can be a bit pushy, but when the other dog lets her know they are not happy with her, she does back off. I do not know how she would be around cats - she does chase squirrels and creatures of the night when we are walking round the property during the evening, so there is a chance she would chase cats, I do not know if she is chasing to kill, or chasing out of curiousity or playfullness, so if you have cats or small pets, caution must be taken and a lifelong plan to keep all animals safe from each other. Children & Active Families: DAISY does need an active family, although I have not had her around any small children, I have no doubt that as long as the children respect her and don't treat her like a toy or be allowed to abuse her, she would be an amazing companion for a child any age. Of course as with any dog when they are running and playing they could knock someone over and they do play with their mouths, so precautions should always be taken, but she is so loving, playful, affectionate and a great size at around 40 pounds she would be a perfit fit for an active family. She would do great with another high energy dog to play and chase and burn off that energy, but as long as she is with a family that is active and can provide for her what she needs to thrive she would be ok as a single dog. Leash, House Training & Handling DAISY is great on the leash, although having a severe neck injury due to the embedded collar - which has fully healed, we feel she would benefit from a harness. She loves to ride in the car and at any moment will jump in just to hang out waiting to see if she gets to go for a ride. She is not quite house trained, but getting her into a routine is pretty easy as she is so intelligent and so desperate to please, whilst with me she pretty much as all day access to outside, so she hasn't needed to let me know she wants to go outside, so expecting a few accidents whilst she transitions and learns must be expected. Considering her background she has been doing amazing. One thing to note is she can be a little intense with her wanting attention or to be right by you - teaching her to have her own space and giving her boundaries is a perfect way to find that balance of sharing each others company, but not being too over-powering or to the point where she is in the way. Adoption Details Location: Southern US - Transport to be arranged for North East Adoption or Foster. Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, depending on your location either a transport meet up will be scheduled or if she is being fostered you’ll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet and hopefully go home together. ⏱️ Applications are generally processed within 24-48 hours Click here to Request our Adoption Application Form Want to See More of Pictures? Summary Daisy is a resilient 2-year-old, 40-pound German Shepherd mix who overcame severe neglect to become a remarkably affectionate, joyful companion. Story
*Meet Molly* Molly is a beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd–St. Bernard mix with a big heart and a loyal spirit. Calm and gentle at home, she loves spending her days relaxing nearby or quietly following you from room to room. But once she’s outside, her playful and adventurous side shines through — she loves to run, explore, and take in all the sights and smells around her. Molly is deeply devoted and protective of her people — the kind of companion who will always have your back. She would thrive as the only pet in the home, as she doesn’t get along with other dogs and can be wary of strangers. Molly had a tough start to life. She was sold far too early, at only four weeks old, and likely came from a stressful environment. Because she didn’t have the proper time with her mother, she missed out on learning some early dog-to-dog social cues. Despite that, she’s incredibly intelligent and full of love — she just needs patience, understanding, and a calm, stable environment. Loud noises and too much excitement can make Molly anxious, so a peaceful home without children or other pets is best. She can be a little uncertain at first and may seem ready for pets before changing her mind — a bit like a cat! With time and trust, though, she forms deep bonds with her people and shows her true, affectionate self. She can snap when she feels afraid or threatened so a calm and understanding family is a must. Molly is also leash-reactive, so a fully fenced yard would be ideal to give her space to run and burn off energy safely. She absolutely loves adventures up north, exploring the woods, and breathing in the fresh air. She’s been loved and well cared for her whole life, but she’s ready for a new chapter — one with an experienced adopter who understands sensitive, loyal dogs like her. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will love you unconditionally and appreciate the calm moments by your side, Molly might just be the perfect match. Molly is vaccinated, microchipped, has his flea, tick & heartworm prevention, is sterilized and will come with her medical booklet. Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SKYE was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where she was about to be adopted, but the family noticed she was limping and due to the unknown cause or extent of her injury didn't feel like they could commit if she ended up needing surgery. Since she had been at the shelter since 21 September and now had an injury she found herself on the urgent list. We had her at our vets on 2nd November for evaluation and it was discussed and noted that hyperextension injuries are common in young dogs from jumping. Radiographs were read and it was confirmed there is no bone or joint abnormalities and suspect, as the shelter did, for it it be  a soft tissue injure. Treatment plan is to continue rest and carprofen medications for pain and inflammation. Allow her to dictate activity level, increasing rest if lameness worsents.  We do not know what breed Skye is, she has the looks and frame of an Australian Kepie, with possible GSD, Doberman or even cattle dog mix, but at  around 3 months and 16 pounds, it is hard to say how big she will get, but I think she will a more smaller / medium sized dog. We have to guess what breed we think she is, so we ask potential adopters to do the same and do their due diligence on potential breed characteristics and lifestyle needs. Health & Background Estimated date of birth: 10 August 2026 ✅ Spayed ✅ Core vaccines & Rabies ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with 24PetWatch - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx. 16 pounds at beginning of November Personality & Demeanor As a 3 month old puppy, Skye is full of life, super affectionate, wants to explore, learn and share in all that love she has bundled up inside her. As expected she is great with other dogs and we have no reason to believe at a young age, if introduced correctly to cats and other animals that she would be ok with them. Skye is definitely a very high energy dog who is, although at the moment she is restricted to low energy and rest, if she gets the chance she will charge around before I catch her. She is incredibly affectionate and wants to be as close as she can, although she does have some competition with the other dogs and does just as good snuggling up with them. As to be expected from a puppy she wants to explore, everything and everywhere and soon she will be teething and so will be chewing on anything she can get her teeth into -  so this is very important for potential adopters to understand and be prepared for - homes must be puppy proofed, as adorable as pups can be, they can be quite destructive to your favourite things when you have not secured them out of reach or access. Compatibility & Home Life Other Dogs & Pets: As a puppy being around other dogs is important and beneficial as she is still learning on how to behave as a dog, understanding communication and what is acceptable in the doggy world. She is great with the senior and younger dogs here and is learning respect and that jumping on the seniors is not acceptable. She will be ok in a home without other dogs, but it is important she does get socialization and time to play and hang out with other dogs throughout her life and most importantly her younger years I do not know how she would be around cats or small animals, but being a young puppy is the perfect age to do proper introductions-and as always, caution must be taken and a lifelong plan to keep all animals safe from each other. Children & Active Families: SKYE does need an active family, although I have not had her around any small children, I have no doubt that as long as the children respect her and don't treat her like a toy or be allowed to abuse her, she would be an amazing companion for a child any age. Of course as with any dog when they are running and playing they could knock someone over and they do play with their mouths, so precautions should always be taken, but she is so loving, playful, affectionate and a great size at potentially around 30-40 pounds she would be a perfit fit for an active family. If is important to remember that she is a puppy and will be teething and still is learning and so mouthing and exploratory biting is something she will be doing. She would do great with another high energy dog to play and chase and burn off that energy, but as long as she is with a family that is active and can provide for her what she needs to thrive she would be ok as a single dog. Leash, House Training & Handling SKYE does walk on the leash although she has not been on one much and going to new places could be a little scary so being patient and giving her exposure to different places is a great thing with reassurance if she is a bit hesitent. She loves to ride in the car and at any moment will jump in just to hang out waiting to see if she gets to go for a ride. She has a doggy car seat on the front seat and is happy either curled up asleep or chilling out watching the world go by. Considering she is a young pup that has been in the shelter for the most of her life, she is doing amazing. Story
Max is a beautiful German Shepherd/Husky mix, 6 years and 7 months old, weighing about 70 lbs. He is an extremely affectionate dog with humans he knows. He loves cuddles, spending time with his family, and forming a very strong bond with his people. Despite his large size, he's a real big teddy bear full of love. Like many working dogs, Max needs an active family who understands the needs of his breed. He requires daily exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to burn off his energy in a positive way. Due to hip issues, he can't run, but he loves long walks, hikes, and swimming in lakes. Car rides are also one of his favorite activities! Max is a very intelligent dog who learns quickly and knows basic commands. In public, however, he can be easily distracted and will need a patient adopter who will continue his training using positive, reward-based methods. He cannot be walked off-leash. At home, Max is very independent and can stay alone for up to about six hours, as long as he's had enough exercise beforehand. He does not suffer from separation anxiety and is used to boarding without any difficulty. Max is looking for a home without young children, cats, or other dogs in order to provide him with a calm environment where he can truly thrive. While he may, in certain situations, be able to live with small dogs or females, this should only happen under the supervision of individuals who are highly experienced with canine behavior. Dog parks are not suitable for him. Max is particularly reactive toward large dogs, especially males, and shows strong intolerance toward muscular, short-haired breeds such as pitbulls, rottweilers, and similar breeds. It is therefore essential that his future adopter be aware of this and able to manage his walks accordingly. On leash, Max can also be reactive toward certain people if he feels the need to protect his family. This usually shows up as barking or jumping, but he remains a dog who loves humans when properly introduced. As for resource guarding, Max does not guard his food, but he can become possessive over his bones and favorite ball. With good management and a treat exchange, he easily drops his ball so it can be retrieved. As with many dogs, it's important to respect his space when he has a high-value item. Max is also a very expressive and vocal dog. When playing, he may growl or bark, but this is simply part of how he communicates and doesn't mean he's being aggressive. In addition to being incredibly intelligent, Max is an absolutely gorgeous dog who never goes unnoticed. He deserves an exceptional family who will give him all the love he deserves for the rest of his life. We hope to find him a home where he will be cherished, where he can go on adventures, explore new trails, enjoy beautiful walks, and above all, finally live the happy life he deserves. If you are an experienced, active individual or family ready to offer him structure, patience, and lots of love, Max will reward you with unwavering loyalty, boundless affection, and a faithful companion who will always be by your side.
