Story
Meet Astrid — a 2-3 year-old mama with the heart of a warrior and the spirit of a clown! This sweet, funny, and playful girl was found in a coyote den, bravely protecting her 7 surviving babies. She’s raised her puppies with love and strength, and now it’s her turn to find the forever home she truly deserves. Astrid is ehrlichia positive, which just means she came into contact with a tick carrying the illness. We're treating it, and it doesn’t slow her down one bit — she’s expected to live a long, happy life. If you're looking for a dog with personality, heart, and a touch of sass — Astrid is your girl. Let’s get this mama the home she’s fought so hard to deserve. Ready to meet her? Message us to schedule a visit! #AdoptDontShop #RescueCat #AstridTheSurvivor #ForeverHomeWanted

Story
Bear was found on our property, with severe malnutrition, bloody paws, and barely able to walk. After a few veterinarian visits and some love, he is now healthy and ready for a new home. We believe he is 3-5 years old. He Loves to chase small animals, Including cats, squirrels, ducks, just about anything that will run from him. However, we have four other dogs that he gets along well with them, after going through an Introduction period. He is not aggressive at all. He is a very sweet boy that just wants to be with his people. It’s probably no surprise, but he does have some separation anxiety. We have also learned that he is an awesome counter surfer and will jump up for a tasty meal if given the opportunity. He has been house trained and will stay in a cage, although he doesn’t like it much. We are Bear’s 5th home, so he deserves a forever home. Willing to do a trial run to be sure it’s a good fit for you and Bear. Will also provide you with his cage.

Story
Meet Koda, a beautiful boy and the literal definition of a "gentle giant"! This very well-behaved and house-trained dog loves walks and forms such a strong bond that he doesn't always need a leash. Koda's greatest desires are to play fetch (especially in a larger yard) or snuggle up for some quality time. While he does well around non-aggressive dogs and cats, he would thrive in a home as the sole pet, receiving all the attention he deserves – making him a potentially wonderful companion for a single individual or a veteran.

Story
Our 8 month old Sasha Grace. We received this sweet girl from a colleagues father at 8 weeks. From day one, paws up-belly up snoozing in her kennel to learning heel, place and dropping her toy, she’s been a great dog for us. We aren’t looking to re-home Sasha for any behavioral reasons: only due to the curveballs life has thrown our family. She is kennel trained, potty trained and well mannered in the home with instruction. She plays fetch with the neighborhood kids and will go through the brush for her toy like a hound dog. Sasha certainly enjoys her walks and exercise. Also, a good bone on her bed. Little to no leash reactivity. She’s been socialized at parks, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and etc and always complimented how pretty and well behaved she is. I tell Sasha she could only be a better dog if I were a better trainer. If you know what to expect from a GSD or willing to learn, Sasha will be a great young doggie addition to your life. Peace and love to you and your loved ones.

Story
Hi! My name is Cadence. I am a 4-year-old German/Anatolian Shepherd mix with big brown eyes and a heart of gold.I’m house and crate trained. I know sit and shake.  I adapt to just about any environment with a little bit of time.  Loud noises do not bother me.I love car rides and get so excited when we get to where we’re going, I try to climb into the front seat. I love tennis balls, squeakers, tug ropes, really any toy if you will play with me.  I love to be brushed. I love my chin and chest scratched. I love treats. I love praise.  You’ve probably figured out by now that I’m a lovebug.  My foster mom says I pick things up really fast, but I don’t always mind my manners.  I really enjoy walks but haven’t figured out why I need to be tethered to a human.  I pull in every direction at first because there’s so much to see and smell, and by the way, I am strong.  The foster humans are being patient and working with me but it’s going to take time to break my old habits. There’s a 5’ fence at my foster home and that keeps me safe, but I might be able to jump a shorter fence. Baby gates in the house are no match for me.  I’m right at home in a dog park.  My previous human couldn’t provide the care I needed so my ears got infected and are a little sensitive and scarred.   The veterinarian said we’ll have to keep a close watch for infections forever.  I’m close to 70 pounds.  I’m up to date on all my vaccinations.  I get along with everyone I meet, but I was a little bossy with my foster sister when we first met.  I barely notice the cat.  I like to rough house when playing and sometimes forget that I’m a little clumsy and bigger than everyone else.  I’m working on the basics of leash training and not jumping up when I’m excited with my foster family and am showing progress but still need some work.  My breed is known to be independent, intelligent, loving and loyal and I am all of that.Apply online or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approved 4 yr old spayed German shepherd. 62#, adopted from animal control, vet told owner that she needed to treat her ears, owner said she would have to come back on payday… never saw her again. Cadence was later taken back to AC for euthanasia. Tech at AC couldn’t do it because cadence is so sweet… so they sent her to our clinic and dr evaluated her ears. She has suffered chronic untreated ear infections for who knows how long.. ear canals are cauliflowers and cadence will have to have ear exams abt every 6-8 weeks. We packed them w a two week treatment last week. Her ears are very sensitive, and she had to be sedated to treat them. She is a precious girl and doing well with her foster just after one day!Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step.
