Story
Patty is a friendly German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. She dreams of living where she play and enjoy the company of another dog pal her size. Patty thrives in the presence of other dogs and is particularly fond of Dogs her own size. Patty isn't one for hard work; she's more interested in being a loyal companion who loves to hang out and be around you. Whether she's getting in your way playfully or just lounging nearby, Patty's main goal is to be close to her family. She'd be happiest in a home with owners who can create a stable loving environment. One of Patty's favorite activities is playing in water, especially on hot days. She'd love a splash around in a lakes or river. Patty does experience separation anxiety, but with the right home and loving care, she can overcome it. She needs a family that can offer her plenty of attention, reassurance, and understanding. Her ideal home would be one where she's rarely left alone, and having another dog pal to keep her company would be a huge bonus. Patty isn't just a dog; she's a sweet soul just waiting to become a cherished member of your family. Her playful nature, love for water, and desire for companionship make her an exceptional pet. With patience and love, Patty's separation anxiety can be managed, and in return, she will give you boundless affection and devotion.

Story
Meet Thor Introducing Thor, the big and friendly dog with a heart of love! This squishy pup is a great companion for anyone who loves big, playful dogs. Thor is a natural social butterfly and loves spending time with other dogs, making him a great fit for households with multiple pets. He loves being in the house and is quick to make himself at home. Thor is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX and is available to adopt out of state but needs to be an only dog as a meet and greet is required. Thor is a dog who's always up for an adventure, and he particularly loves car rides. He jumps into the car with ease and settles in for the ride, making him the perfect companion for road trips and outings with the family. With his love for exploration, we recommend a high fence for this big boy. But Thor isn't just about fun and games; he's also a well-trained pup who knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. He's always eager to learn new things and is a quick study. With his love of learning and eagerness to please, Thor is a great candidate for agility training. While in the house, Thor is content in a kennel or just laying on the couch. And let's not forget, Thor loves attention and is a big snuggler. Whether it's curling up on the couch for a movie night or cuddling in bed, Thor loves being close to his humans and soaking up all the love and affection. In short, Thor is a big and friendly dog who's always ready for fun and adventure. If you're looking for a loyal and playful companion who's great with other pets, loves car rides, and enjoys a good snuggle, then Thor is the perfect fit for you! Scooby was adopted from HillCountrySPCA and is about 4 years old. A place with a big back yard or somewhere he can run around would be ideal for him. He is very energetic but quickly gets tired and will want to sleep for most of the day. Great around kids.

Story
Meet Canyon!Canyon is a 4-year-old, 72-pound German Shepherd who was found as a stray, but no owner could be located. This gentle giant is sweet, well-mannered, and a joy to have around. He’s great with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids, making him a perfect fit for nearly any family.Canyon seems to be housebroken and already knows commands like “sit” and “shake,” showing just how smart he is. He’s ready to find his forever home where he can share his loving and loyal personality with his new family. Could that be with you?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Abby is a 7 month old feisty girl who is confident, outgoing, fun and full of joy, plus resilient! Abby was found on the side of a very busy road with a funny walk. The vet thinks she may have fell or was thrown from a vehicle. Even after the hurt she was ready to show love and gratefulness to the sweet family that picked her up. She went to the vet, and they said she had a small fracture that required crate rest for a bit and so she did just that. After lots of kennel rest Abby is ready for her next fun adventure and to make up for lost time. Abby is great with other dogs of all sizes. Her foster family has five other dogs that are mixed breeds and vary in size, and Abby is friends with all of them. She even does well with cats. Doesn’t even blink an eye around them. Shes started doggie daycare with her foster siblings and got great reviews from the daycare. She was shy at first but quickly warmed up to all of the dogs and staff. Since Abby was on crate rest when she was rescued she is learning potty training with her foster family and she is quickly understanding how to tell her foster mom she has to go outside. Food is Abby’s best friend and she loves getting a good girl treat after she goes potty outside. She loves celery, carrots, broccoli and lots of dog friendly fruits. Per Abby’s DNA test, she is Labrador retriever, German Shepherd, and Doberman. We’d be happy to share more of her DNA results with her perfect forever family. She is located in San Antonio, TX, but transport is included with her adoption fee. All out of state adoptions with transports gets a health certificate before leaving and all of pets are fully vetted to age, fixed, chipped and have rabies vaccine. If you are interested in Abby, please completed the adoption application!
