Story
Hi my name is Ace! I’m about 8 months old and around 45 pounds. I love playing ball and hanging out with my brother Jack. I love being loved and will cuddle you all day. I sleep in my kennel and I’m doing great with potty training. When you meet me, I’ll be shy at first but overtime will warm up to you. I haven’t had the best of luck with humans, so I may take my time but I’m worth it. Can’t wait to be with you for forever. I love other dogs and will need a dog friend in my forever home.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Rush - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Rush is an Old English word meaning 'weaver' usually using the reeds known as rushes. And let me tell you, that name suits me as I'm a real pro at weaving...weaving my way right up into your heart!!! I'm a youngster coming in at around 6 months. What a perfect age to be your lil spongey sidekick...soaking up everything! I'm affectionate with people both tall and small, get on good with the other foster pups but haven't met any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. Being active and playful I'd do great in a home with another playful 'sibling' or as your adventure buddy getting all the attention. I come in at right around 36lbs and will make a fabulous mediumish size boy to share in all your activities whether it's monitoring your yardwork skills to making sure you have a blast on our action packed adventures. Whatever is your preference I'm game on giving it a whirl!! My beautiful short coat is low in the maintenance department making me more of a wash-n-go type of fella. Perfect for being ready to go at the drop of a hat!! I've got a moderate energy level which will require some daily exercise and playtime but with that in I should do just fine in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. Are you in need of a BFF to share in all your daily going on's? A sidekick to be by your side for those action adventures? A cohort in crime. hehehe I can be that, no problem!? OMGosh, that sound just like you're searching for ME!!! Stop scrolling and hurry to fill out my adoption application and we can be on our way to having sooooo much fun!!

Story
Maggie is a very sweet girl who loves attention most of all. She is loyal and will follow you everywhere you go. Maggie was originally adopted from a kill shelter when she was 3. She was found on the streets with a litter of pups. Her eyes were clouded over and she was malnourished. She has come so far since then, and appreciates having a loving home like no other. You can sense her motherly instincts, as she’s very protective of our 4 year old daughter. She does well with small children. Since she’s been through so much, it takes her some time to warm up to new dogs. Once she gains trust, she is ready to be friends with them. Maggie listens to the command “kisses”, and will stare into your eyes if she’s hungry or when she wants the pets. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and play with her doggy siblings at the dog park. Maggie deserves a second chance at finding her forever family. Thank you

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Laurel - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I am with another rescue that is having a family emergency. If interested in adopting me, Hay Dude Rescue will pull me into their rescue to complete my adoption. My name is Laurel and if you're in search of a gorgeous gal that is as beautiful on the inside as the out, look no further! I'm pretty much a mellow, laid back, go with the flow kind of gal that would be great for a first time pet parent. I am around 3 years, a tad bit shy at first meet (I warm up quickly) but very sweet and playful. I do fantastic with everyone... other dogs and people both tall and small. I would make a great addition for just about any family that is looking for a sweetie to add joy to their life. Although I haven't yet met any of those strange smelling creatures y'all call a cat. I am already house trained so that will leave lots of time for us to get right to the fun stuff. I do love going for my walks whether it's around the neighborhood or going on a sniffari on nature trails. I had been mostly an outside dog :( but I'm quickly catching on to the softer side of life and have already mastered the outside to potty concept! I come in at around 50lb which is a pawsome size to tag along on all your adventures from the mundane to the exciting! Are you in search of a family addition that will be there by your side, a constant in your life thru all your daily going on's? A BFF to share your joys and sorrows? WAIT, stop scrolling, I am that gal!!!

Story
Shelby Ann is a very spirited German Shepherd. She would make a good family pet, most likely in a house without any cats as she does have a very intense interest in them. She is ok with other dogs but would do better in a house as the only one. She is very energetic and requires daily walks or other exercise. She is very obedient - although sometimes stubborn - but also loyal. She wants to find her person(s). If interested, please email masonhaven48@yahoo.com.

Story
Still available to a good home (last updated 4/8/24)! Beretta is sweet, calm, and friendly. She is a German Shepherd/Doberman mix, is a young adult and weighs seventy pounds. She loves other dogs and is good with other people and children. Beretta loves to be petted! She is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands. She is free to roam when we leave the house, and she is well behaved. She does require regular exercise. Beretta would do best in a home with another dog for company. We love her but we have some unexpected human health issues and can no longer care for her.

Story
I am looking for an active experienced German Shepherd Alpha family with a securely fenced yard. I am a great family pet that requires someone that works from home because I love to escape my kennel and go outside frequently. I enjoy daily walks and or runs. I will require dog training. I do like dogs that like my energy level, but I can be an only spoiled fur kid with dog training and structure. No apartments or condos. No cats in home as they do not appreciate my energy level. Taking online applications only.

Story
Welcome Ruby to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Ruby is a 6-month old German Shepherd Dog. We are guessing she will be 60 pounds full grown. She is either a high mix or pure GSD. She was dumped at our Vet Office and our Vet is fostering her and vetting her. She is potty trained and good on a leash. She is crate trained and likes to ride in the car. She is healthy, vaccinated and on the schedule to be spayed. We would love a previous GSD owner. Young GSDs are energetic and will need mental and physical stimulation to be happy. GSD dogs are typically good with children. She has been around one child at the vet office and numerous people. She has done great with all the above. She is timid in new surroundings but the Vet is doing a great job with her. She bonds deeply and really loves her foster dad. She would be great with a young person or family that is active and looking for an active companion. She is good in a crate, good in a car and very smart. She has some slope on her back but not too much with means she will have less trouble with her hips in the future over the more sloped backs. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Welcome Ryker to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Husky/Shepherd mix. He weighs about 45 pounds and beautiful blue eyes. He knows sit, shake a paw and is good on a leash. He is smart and loyal companion. His loyalty will make him a little protective of his people. He is a wonderful dog and likes a number of different dogs here at the rescue. He was adopted and returned because he is protective when strangers came around. In our opinion, he is a perfect dog. In the right home, he will be perfect. A man who has had a shepherd would be best. Some person that is stronger and in control so the dog doesn’t have to be would be best. He would be great for a family that the husband travels out of town and he wants to leave a dog that will look after his family while he is away. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is great on a leash and will be a great dog for an outdoorsy person wanting a companion to tag along. Ryker has a beautiful bushy coat and would be perfect in the cooler climates in the North. He is vaccinated, neutered, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See his cute video!!
