Story
She was born March 3rd, 2022. Her dad is Blue Heeler/Black Lab and mom is German Shepherd/Husky. She is mostly black with a little bit of white on her toes and her chest along with a white tipped tail. I'm looking for someone who can be active with her. She is kennel trained at night and settles down after a little time out of the kennel in the morning. I feed all the dogs dry dog food. She loves to play with a tug of war rope, she hasn't gotten a hang of fetch yet. We are working on basic commands such as "sit". We don't allow any pets on furniture (she might try when rehomed, but it'll be your preference), and we don't allow them to eat people food except maybe rare special occasions such as Thanksgiving (she might try but it's your preference). Overall she is sweet when she gets to know you but she might be shy/timid at first.

Summer is a playful, sweet dog. She really likes to play with other dogs and kids as well. She’s a growing puppy, so needs a lot of patience. She learns quickly and is eager to please. She is currently 5 months, and will be six at the beginning of November. She was adopted from a close friend who had a litter.

Story
Allow me to introduce, Barnabas “Barney” Rubble. He is a sweet, fun-loving, cuddle bug who loves to play fetch and snuggle with his sister, Pebbles. When we found Barney and Pebbles in October 2023 they were in terrible shape. Their whole family (Wilma, Fred, & Bam-Bam) had been abandoned at the dog park. They were scared, hungry, and covered in ticks. It's been so rewarding getting them healthy and giving them the love they deserve. Barney is crate-trained/house-trained. He loves the dog park and is great on a leash. He's good with kids and seems to pay cats no mind. His favorite game is fetch/catch which he picked up almost instantly. Barney is eager to please and learn so I think he would be happiest having a job to do or kids to play with. New owners will receive four complimentary training sessions with Mansa's World K9 Training (SA Residents Only). Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Story
Duke was rescued when he was a little under a year old. Although he is 7 years old he is still very playful, active, and loving. Duke loves to run around and roll in the grass. Duke is very active and loves to go exploring and hiking Duke does extremely well meeting new people. He is good with dogs when introduced slowly but a large group of rowdy dogs do make him anxious (I.e. not the type of dog to take to a dog park). Duke is an overall great dog and does great with our baby so we are so sad to let him go, however with our growing family we are unable to give him the care and attention he deserves. Duke is up to date on all his vaccines and a complete medical record can be provided if wanted.

Story
Rocky is 3 years old. He is very loving and requires double the amount of love and attention. He loves to he petted. If you stop, he will nudge your arm for more. He has a ton of energy. Seems like his battery never runs out of charge. He loves playing outside. I would love that his next home has plenty of space for him to run and play. A family that can give him the love and attention he deserves, is preferred.

Story
Milo has been with me all of his life. He is 7 years old. He is very playful and lovable and loves to play with toys and is very affectionate. He does not care for little puppies in the beginning until he warms up to them. I can no longer take care of milo due to medical issues. I would love to find a home for Milo with someone that can take care of him and give him plenty of exercise and play time.

Story
Greetings, mortals! I am Aries, a majestic male dog with a powerful spirit that rivals the might of the gods themselves. My lineage is a fusion of strength and courage, much like the mythical Greek warriors of old. As a German Shepherd mix, I bear the mantle of both protector and loyal companion, ready to embark on epic adventures by your side. Behold, my most distinctive feature: my big, floppy ears that listen keenly to the whispers of the wind and the secrets of the world around me. They stand as a testament to my unwavering vigilance, always attuned to the slightest rustle or sign of danger. Like the fiery ram that represents my namesake constellation, I possess boundless energy and a fiery spirit. With every step I take, I channel the might of the heavens, exuding the strength and grace befitting of a true Greek hero. My paws tread the earth with purpose, and my heart beats with the fervor of an ancient battle cry. But fear not, for beneath my divine exterior lies a heart overflowing with affection. I am not just a warrior; I am a loyal and loving companion. Together, we shall conquer every challenge and forge an unbreakable bond that even the gods would envy. So, dear mortal, if you seek a canine ally who embodies the essence of a Greek legend, look no further. I, Aries, the German Shepherd mix with big floppy ears, am here to join you on a quest of a lifetime. Let us create a mythic tale of companionship and courage that will be sung by bards for generations to come. Story
Meet Heidi, the magnificent 70 lb German Shepherd with a heart as beautiful as her black and tan coat. This sweet senior female is ready to find her forever home with a family who will cherish her gentle nature and loving spirit. Heidi's friendly disposition makes her an ideal companion for adults and kids alike. She's a joy to be around and gets along well with people and other dogs. However, cats might not be her cup of tea, so a cat-free home is preferable. Though she may not love the crate, Heidi is house-trained and prefers to be close to her human pack. She adores spending time outdoors, especially hunting mice and squirrels in a yard, making a home with a yard a must for her. Her backstory is one of triumph over fear and anxiety. After being found wandering a neighborhood, Heidi was initially anxious and insecure, but her foster family and their other six dogs have worked wonders for her confidence and happiness. She has turned into a playful, secure, and happy girl, no longer needing anxiety medication. Heidi is a versatile companion who enjoys walking, playing fetch with squeaky toys and tennis balls, and being a loving and nurturing nanny to her doggy friends. She's a devoted and faithful companion, always by your side, offering comfort when needed. Her ideal adopter would be someone who works from home or is retired, as Heidi thrives in the company of her loved ones. She gets along well with most dogs but may feel a bit nervous around more dominant ones. Heidi's charm extends to her adorable crooked ear, adding to her endearing looks. With her heart of gold and gentle nature, she's one of the sweetest and kindest girls you'll ever meet. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will bring joy to your life, Heidi is the one for you. Embrace this wonderful girl and let her fill your days with love, laughter, and cherished memories. With Heidi by your side, life will be brighter, and your heart will be full. Story
Hi people of San Antonio! My name is Ralf aka Ralfy aka Ralfy Palfy. My fosters gave me the last nickname because they say I will make someone a great Pal. You see, I was found on the side of the road barely alive after being hit by a car. I couldn't walk very well because my pelvis was broken in three places. But after visiting this place called the veterinarian, I started feeling much better. Unfortunately before my accident I had never met kind humans and still to this day, I'm very easily startled and scared of new people. It's going to take someone very special and patient to earn my trust. But once you earn it, I'm the sweetest and most gentle dog ever. I love love love chest rubs and ear scratches. But my number one love of all time is treats!!! I love all flavors so if you decide to take me home, don't be shy when shopping for me! I enjoy sunbathing and relaxing in my kennel. It's my safe place when I feel overwhelmed. I promise to love you if you promise to take the time to get to know me. I will do best in a quiet house with maybe 1 or 2 adults and an older mature doggy friend. I don't care much for traveling and prefer to be a homebody. I do love to play with doggy friends and don't mind cats either. I'm currently working on becoming more confident in public spaces. What do you say? Can you give me a shot? Ralf is kennel trained and potty trained. He is a local adoption only. His current foster is a trainer who is willing to offer two free sessions along with his adoption to set you both up for success and better help you understand what he will need and how you can help provide that for him. He is a Shepherd mix that weighs roughly 50lbs. Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
I pulled Reece off the euthanasia list from the local shelter in November of 2023. I have two other dogs; one is very dog selective. I pulled her from the shelter knowing she may not fit in with our "pack", but I was willing to house her at my home to give her more time to find a suitable home. She was only going to be given another 24 hours at the shelter. She is a fantastic dog with the sweetest personality. I am only re-homing her due to the fact my other dog is distressed with her presence which I knew was a possibility from the get go. She'll be safe with us though until a good home is found!

Story
This is the sweet boy Pepper. Pepper came to us around a month ago in our front lawn, dehydrated, starving, sick & limping. He seemed to be on the streets a long time, & looked like he was on the verge of death. So of course we decided to rescue him. He was sweet to us & extremely grateful for the help. We fed him, gave him water, bathed him, & took him to the vet to get evaluated. He had no microchip, & after a month of searching for an owner, we think he didn't have one or was dumped by one. Since then his personality has come to life. He's a very sweet boy, good with kids & people, loves attention. However he is quite needy & requires a lot of training. He shouldn't be in a home with smaller animals, not because he tries to kill, but because he likes to chase. Especially cats. We have four in our home so we have to keep them separated. He also can't be left alone in the backyard as he digs to escape. Not neutered, 18 months, has all shots. Trainable, knows sit & stay.
