Shadow is a purebred German Shepherd with AKC paperwork who came with our home. The previous owners were breeders and had kept him mostly outside. When they moved they didn’t want him, so we took him in and have had him for about five years.Shadow is a goofy, sweet dog who bonds closely with his person and likes watching over the house and yard. He’s actually pretty low-energy and spends most of the day relaxing. He enjoys playing keep-away.He is house trained, great on a leash, and naturally heels when walking. He knows sit and waits for the cue “good dogs” before eating.We are rehoming because he does not get along with our other male dog. We’ve managed it by keeping them separated, but with a baby on the way that’s no longer going to be realistic. Shadow cannot live with any male dogs or cats. A home with a yard and either no pets or a well-socialized female dog would be ideal. We have a female dog as well and they get along fine.

Story

We took Max in after his previous owners couldn’t tend to him anymore. He has a poultry allergy but developed an ear infection and skin rash. After changing his diet to fish only, the skin rash cleared up however his ears continued to get worse (mucus falls out and a bad stench comes out too). The vet proscribed us ear drops and that helped a little bit we cannot continue to pay the necessary visits to the vet nor the for the medicine that Max needs.

When Kaiser is outside her runs to the fence and continues to be on high alert. We think this is due to Kaiser being surrendered by his family after 5 years which is part of his anxiety.
