Story
Jack entered the shelter as a sweet, submissive young dog. He tried so hard. He was sent to a foster home… and then he was returned. Now, barely over 1 year old, Jack is facing euthanasia. He has been affectionate and friendly with some staff, unsure with others. He needs time, patience, and training ##2634418##

Story
7yr old tan M/N shepherd mix Foster notes: Noble is a sensitive guy and he seems to be more comfortable around women than men for now. He loves being near his person & follows me all day around the house. He may resource guard his bed. He bit my husband the first week we had him when he tried to pet him when he was on his bed. I have since kept him apart from my husband and he has not shown any signs of aggression for a while and he has even wagged his tail at my husband. I would still err on the side of caution with new people and men with his bed. Any iffy situation I have him leashed and muzzled or on the other side of a baby gate. When people come over or in crowded places I let him wear a comfortable muzzle. It makes me more comfortable and it keeps him out of trouble. He has walked in very crowded places in close quarters wearing a muzzle and has not shown any signs of aggression. I feel that if there is any aggression it could be territorial or fearful aggression because I have only seen him do it at home. I don’t know how he is around children but I think it would be a safer bet to say no kids. He is potty trained. He is good with other dogs with a proper introduction. I have two pit bulls and a chihuahua and he hangs out with them all day long. He is obsessed with playing fetch. He will drop the ball in front of you while you are cooking dinner. Once he thinks you are his person, you could not find a more loyal and loving campanion. He has decompressed a lot in the short time he has lived with me and he will be even better with time in a loving and patient home. His ideal owner would be someone who is willing to take it slow with him and let him open up on his own terms, someone with a lot of dog experience, who is home a lot, a woman. Also he came to me with itchy skin and I have been giving him fresh food and it has cleared everything up. So a dream home would provide that for him too otherwise I think he might have allergies. Also Noble is very athletic. If someone wants a jogging partner, he would be up for it.

Story
Meet Princess (aka Trophy)   Princess, lovingly known as Trophy, is an 6 year-old female German Shepherd who proves that age is just a number. She’s energetic for her age, incredibly sweet, and always eager to please—especially if treats are involved! Princess is treat-motivated, knows her basic commands, and enjoys staying engaged with her people.   She would do best in a home with adults or older children where she can soak up attention and structure. Princess would  be a great match with another calm, older dog. She has not been cat tested.   Princess loves her toys, but fair warning—she’s a super chewer, so durable toys are a must! With her loyal heart, playful spirit, and gentle nature, Princess is ready to be someone’s cherished companion and forever Trophy girl. Currently fostered in Atlanta/South Carolina border area ##2574240##

Story
Django is intelligent and extremely loving. We have only been separated due to loss of home. He is currently being kept at a friend’s house where he plays with dogs all day on a farm. He has been exposed to every kind of farm animal, young kids, many kinds of other breeds of dogs, and enjoys going for hikes. He is young and loves to play outside, then come and snuggle on the couch and watch tv in the evenings or on a rainy day. He does not bark, but has more of a woof, which is much more peaceful. Only uses his “woof” when senses danger. Django is crate trained, and quietly sleeps in his kennel in the night, and while you need to go on errands. He is well trained, young and ready for a forever home. Please let me know if you would to have a conversation about taking Django home.

Story
Canelo is a sweet, intelligent, beautiful, and amazing dog. He loves playing fetch, in the sprinklers, on the beach, and getting the rips in the backyard. He loves belly, ear, and booty scratches. He is crate, muzzle, potty, and leash trained. He is an incredible dog. The reason he is being rehomed is due to his reactivity towards other dogs and cats. If not introduced properly he can react to unknown humans as well. He has never bit anyone or another animal. Canelo does live in a house with a toddler and is extremely gentle and tolerant of all of the typical toddler activities with a dog. Canelo is an incredible dog who would benefit from an adopter who is interested or experienced with dog training. He is without a doubt someone’s dream dog, we unfortunately are unable to make him ours. Please reach out for more information on his history, training, and reactivity. Thank you.
