Story
Johnny is a big puppy - like big, and still thinks he's a little puppy; which means he's a bit of a handful at times. But, he absolutely loves to be around people and desperately wants to play with other dogs - his size and enthusiasm just make it important that he play with the right dog. That said, his 74 lb 6 foot frame didn't inhibit him from having a great time playing with an 11 lb Chiweenie and the two of them had a fantastic time.Johnny will turn anything into a toy, including ropes, buckets, rawhide bones - you name it.If you are a dog lover, and patient person willing to give him lots of positive praise, support and pets, I promise - Johnny will love you forever, and with every ounce of his very, very big heart. He even gives hugs.Visit this link to apply: form.jotform.us/60136667457159   ##1493838##

Story
This handsome boy has a rough past. If he could talk he would be sure to tell you his sad story of what his previous life entailed, however he prefers to look forward and not worry too much about the past. He is very cautious with new things and he has every right to be that way. He tends to find new men to be scary, and most new situations are scary. He loves to get treats and hugs. This guy is going to need a lot of reassurance from his new family. They will need to work on building his skills outside of the home. All he really knows is being locked in a crate. He does not seem to mind dogs that are smaller than him, however dogs that are larger than him are not an option for him. He walks very well on a leash, and enjoys spending time in his pool. He loves to do tricks for food. He would make a great companion if you are looking for a dog that just wants to hang out and let him be the guy that he is. If you are interested in meeting him, we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. Once you have an approved application no file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet him. His adoption fee will be $300 that includes him being current on all his vaccinations, treated for fleas, treated for worms, and neutered. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgNovember 27, 2023, 3:56 pm

Story
This cutie is Ford. He are currently 38 pounds and 5 months old and will be a big boy! We think he may be a German Shepherd mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that he is adorable and one of the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Ford is playful, sweet, cuddly, and very loving. He loves to play with his foster siblings and take lots of naps on the couch. With such a sweet disposition, he is ready to please all his humans! After spending his first months on the streets you would think he would be scared of it all, but boy is he defying the odds! Ford is treat motivated and ready to learn! He is good with corrections and will do best with a family who has GSD experience! Ford is potty-trained and crate trained, he loves to go outside and wrestle and play in the yard. Once he is done playing he will come in and be ready to cuddle! He loves to sleep right on his foster mom and use her as a pillow. He is so loving of other animals and humans. Ford is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Watch his video here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTE20Bkxxnc Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6516d84c0c6cccff2e080249 Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $750.00 and includes all vetting: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge for transport. Story
Sandy is a very sweet, innocent little dog. She and her sisters are very laid back and smart. They are not hyper puppies at all. They also don’t run away, they stay close. Her foster mom socialize them with other dogs and has been teaching them how to be their best for a future family. Sandy is going to make an awesome family companion. She definitely shows a little more of the Lab personality. She loves the water and is ready for all your muddy PNW adventures! She is not overly energetic but her favorite thing is to play with other dogs . She is good with dogs of all sizes and even cats! She can by shy at first but then is so sweet and loving once she comes out of her shell. We think she would do really well to be paired with another dog, so if you have another dog, looking for a playmate and a companion, we think Sandy would really love that. Sandy has a beautiful soft coat and we do not think she’s going to grow up to be very large, we think she is about five months old right now so, this is just a guess, but she might end up around 40. Right now she is 28 pounds. Here is a video to see her personality: https://youtu.be/vgntotLa7KY?si=N8iBacFcFHceUuJ0 You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
