Hello, This is really hard for me to write, but I’m looking for a loving and experienced new home for my dog. He’s a German Shepherd/Husky mix, and in a couple of months I’ll be leaving for the military. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take him with me, and my biggest priority is finding him the right, safe home. I want to be completely transparent: he has shown aggression toward new people in the past. He is very cautious and protective, and he does not warm up to strangers quickly. He needs slow introductions and someone who understands dog behavior and is experienced with larger, strong-willed breeds. That said, once he trusts you, he is incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate. He bonds very deeply with his person and is loving, playful, and devoted in the home. This is not an easy decision, and I’m committed to finding him the right fit not just any home. FENGEER is a mix of GSD, Chocolate Lab, Bloodhound, Husky, Boreal and Anatolian Shepherd and will probably be about 80# full grown. He's very handsome, wants someone to love on him and will make a great pet once he's had some training. Fengeer is the alpha dog with the pups that are left and may continue to think he's the boss so maybe would be best without other males. The puppies have had to be in an outside kennel and have not had as much socialization as the owner would like but she's had her hands full with these pups and family matters. Owner says he does need a fenced yard. He is up to date on most of his shots but will need his rabies vaccine and will need neutered.
