Story
**Looking to Rehome Molly 💔** This is by far one of the hardest posts I've ever had to write. We are looking to find the right home for our 4-year-old German Shepherd, Molly. Molly has been with us since she was a puppy, and she is deeply loved. She is sweet, affectionate, incredibly intelligent, and has been a wonderful companion. Unfortunately, she has resource guarding behaviors, and after a recent incident where she seriously injured our smaller dog, we've made the heartbreaking decision that she needs a home where she can be the only dog. We have three young children, and we believe food scraps may have triggered the fight. While Molly has always been loving with our family, we no longer feel it's fair or safe for either dog to continue living together. We don't believe they will ever fully trust each other again. About Molly: * 4-year-old female German Shepherd * Spayed * Up to date on all vaccinations * House trained and crate trained * Walks beautifully on a leash

Story
Meet Neo! A 3 month old male German Shepherd X Great Pyrenees/Border Collie cross. He is an owner surrender when a young man discovered just how much time and effort are required to raise a baby ! Not to mention how much space a dog with this energy level and potential size (I'm guessing 80-100#s as an adult) will require. He has made himself at home here on my farm. He slept thru the night quietly in a crate in our bedroom so is crate comfortable. He has met all the resident dogs and cats here and after a few worried barks, has decided everyone is a friend. Next he met all the free range fowl and was a perfect gentleman. He met the horses and was wary, but respectful. He is very spoiled and needs to learn some basic manners, but is also very smart and responds quickly to corrections for scratching on the door, jumping up on my legs and barking for attention. I think he's a very beautiful, intelligent puppy that will make an excellent family dog on an acreage in a country setting. This is not a city dog prospect. Pyrenees are dubbed the "hundred acre dog" because they will stake out and claim a 100 acre radius for themselves to protect and guard. A perimeter fence or GPS system will need to be in place. Border Collies, of course, are known for being extraordinarily high energy, intelligent and trainable with a strong drive for working. German shepherds are a very large, protective, intelligent breed who require a solid and firm, clear black and white training of boundaries and manners as well as socialization,as youngsters to become the fantastic adult dogs some of them are. This boy goes very German Shepherd in his personality and physical attributes. He's got the border collie coloration and he may have the Great Pyrenees size . Take all of this into consideration bgefore applying for this adorable baby boy.

Story
Meet Boots — a 6-year-old Pitbull/German Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime! This goofy guy is active, playful, cuddly, and always ready for his next game of fetch. If there’s a ball involved, Boots is all in! While he’s friendly and loving, he can be a little aloof at times and likes to do things on “Boots time.” He would do best in a home with older children who can match his energetic personality and respect his space when needed. Boots CANNOT go home with any dogs. This handsome boy is housetrained and already knows commands like sit, down, no, and okay. Boots is smart, eager to play, and always excited for attention. One thing to know about him — chew toys and pillows beware! Boots takes his “destroying toys” hobby very seriously and may need plenty of durable enrichment toys to keep him busy. If you’re looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy who can also be a cuddle bug at the end of the day, Boots may be your perfect match!

Story
Mesquite is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart, a goofy personality, and plenty of potential. This handsome boy loves attention, treats, and being right by your side—he may even follow you to the bathroom! Mesquite came to CAC through Animal Control, so his past is a mystery. His friends are still unsure how he does with cats, small children, and small animals. He is smart and treat-motivated, and would thrive with someone willing to continue his training and help build his confidence. Mesquite has participated in playgroups but can be pushy and overly excited with female dogs. He also has some barrier issues that will need to be tested, managed, and worked on with positive training. Slow introductions and consistent guidance will help him learn to be the best gentleman he can be. If you're looking for a loyal, goofy adventure buddy who will happily become your biggest fan, Mesquite may be your guy! ❤️
