Story
Jewel is a very loving, gentle dog with a calm demeanor. When he first came into the home, he was withdrawn and unsure, but over time he opened up and now enjoys playing with toys, chewing his bones, playing tug, and getting treats. He loves carrots, belly rubs, ear rubs, morning walks, rainy walks, car rides, and wearing his boots outside. His favorite words include walk, treat, toy, carrot, and good boy. Jewel enjoys being chased and playing inside the house. He has dogs he plays with, and there are cats that roam nearby that he does not bother. If he gets tired of a person or another dog, he simply walks away. He has interacted well with a two-year-old child, gives lots of kisses, and is affectionate once he feels safe. Loud noises like fireworks scare him, and he dislikes trucks or anything with wheels other than cars. The only reason Jewel needs a new home is that I am physically unable to care for him due to health issues.

Born 7/13/21 Pepper is a female German Shepherd mix seeking a forever home. Here is a little bit about her: She’s very playful and affectionate. Pepper does great with other dogs and people. Cats are fun for a game of chase so would we recommend a cat free home. Pepper loves car rides, going to coffee shops with her foster parents, and taking walks. Smoke loves life! He's a 5yr old Husky-Shepherd mix. He gets along with most other dogs. He doesn't understand cats aren't dogs and can't play as rough, so a home with no cats is recommended. He's good with older children. He is still learning basic manners. He is potty trained and crate trained. He walks well on a leash. It can be a little difficult for a sweet pupper to learn basic manners when he's older. He didn't start any training until he was 3yrs old. That considered, he is learning and loving his new life! He wants a home that prefers big goofy guys!

Bunker is a male German Shepherd born approximately 4-1-2022. Bunker is housebroken and crate trained, although he doesn’t really love it. He knows some basic commands such as sit and come, he is a work in progress with a leash. Bunker will require continued training and enrollment in basic puppy obedience to make him a good canine citizen. A home with breed experience and another canine companion would be most beneficial. He’s a very sweet boy who adores belly rubs and time with humans and canine siblings. He loves to carry around his stuffies and treats them like his baby. Meet Swizzle! This amazing girl is a German Shepherd who was born approximately March 16, 2021. She came to us very pregnant but has weened her pups and is now ready for a home of her very own! Here is a little bit about her: Swizzle is working on leash training and making great progress. She is crate trained but would prefer free roam and is housebroken. Swizzle does well with other dogs of similar size but would do best in a home without small dogs or cats. She also does great with kids! Swizzle's ideal home would be one that's familiar with her breed, has a fully fenced yard and if there are kids in over the age of 5. True to her breed, she's very smart and will make the most loyal companion. Born July 2019, Chase is a beautiful male German Shepherd. He has a very tender spirit and gentle demeanor. Chase’s favorite thing is being with his people. Although he can be aloof at first, once he realizes you're one of the "good guys" you will never have a more loyal and affectionate companion! Chase can be anxious and his dream family would be one who is patient with him and one that will help him build his confidence to be the best dog he can be. He doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time. So his best fit family would be one that doesn't leave him alone for many hours at a time. He gets along with other dogs but prefers submissive ones and would be fine as an only dog as well. A cat free home would be best for Chase. He is extremely smart and already knows how to sit, lay down, leave it, drop it, shake and here. Chase just loves his stuffies and cuddles and sleeps with his favorites.
