Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Meet Shep. He i s a 2 year old (birth date 03-11-22) German Shepherd/Lab mix! Shep is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. Shep is house and crate trained. He is the sweetest big guy weighing 90 lbs but could stand to lose a few pounds. He knows several commands sit, down, stay, and leave it. He will need some more work to remember them all. He would do best in a home with older children because of his size. He was in a home with other dogs. Probably best with a cat free home. If interested in Shep please apply at the following link: http://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/     Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc. Story
Bear was surrendered on 5/4/2023 after his owner could no longer care for him. Bear has lived outside for a while now and didn't have very good shelter to live under. Bear is now a happy fella with a comfy bed here. He is a beautiful Shepherd/Lab mix. He is big and full of energy. Bear is a little over a year old now. Neutered and up to date on vaccines. He did have surgery to fix an inverted eyelid on one of his eyes. Bear seems to be friendly with other dogs. Has not been cat tested. Loves people and children but will knock a children over. Adoption fee is $200

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello friends! My name is Emily. I was brought to the Olive Branch as a stray by local law enforcement.  I was very shy when I came in, but I have learned that meeting new people isn't scary and have become much more outgoing. I am a little picky about my doggie friends, so I would like to meet any other companions you may have before I'm adopted. An active family who loves to walk or hike would be perfect for me. I have been spayed, fully vaccinated, combo tested Lyme Diseae positive and I have had my 30-day cycle of doxycycline, and my preventives are up-to-date.  If you are interested in adopting me please visit our website: olivebranchwv.org to fill out and application. Hope to see you soon!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 15, 2024, 3:57 pm
