Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Meet Shep. He i s a 2 year old (birth date 03-11-22) German Shepherd/Lab mix! Shep is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. Shep is house and crate trained. He is the sweetest big guy weighing 90 lbs but could stand to lose a few pounds. He knows several commands sit, down, stay, and leave it. He will need some more work to remember them all. He would do best in a home with older children because of his size. He was in a home with other dogs. Probably best with a cat free home. If interested in Shep please apply at the following link: http://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/     Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello friends! My name is Emily. I was brought to the Olive Branch as a stray by local law enforcement.  I was very shy when I came in, but I have learned that meeting new people isn't scary and have become much more outgoing. I am a little pciky about my doggie friens, so  I would like to meet any other companions you may have before I'm adopted. An acrive family who loves to walk or hike would be perfect for me. I have been spayed, fully vaccinated, combo tested Lyme Diseae positie and I have had my 30-day cycle of doxycycline), and my preventives are up-to-date.  If you are interested in adopting me please visit our website: olivebranchwv.org to fill out and application. Hope to see you soon!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2024, 3:44 pm

Story
Barbie is a large and sweet Shepherd mix girl, about a year old.  She was found as a stray, so we have no background information.  She likes to play with big dogs but is not good with cats.  She loves people's attention and is super affectionate.  She is doing great on her housebreaking.  We think she would be good with children 8 years and older. Please Note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. To fill out an online application to adopt this pet, cut and paste this link:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/2627/generic Or you can find a link to our online adoption application on our website at www.hartforanimals.org/adopt - or on our Petfinder homepage.  We process applications in the order they are received, therefore, it could take UP TO 2 weeks for us to respond to your application. Please do not send us an inquiry unless you have specific questions. All our dogs/puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, given flea medication, heartworm tested, and given a microchip before going to their new home. ##1958343##

Story
Mighty Maddox is a large and loveable 7-month-old German Shepherd mix pup.  He's full of energy and needs training, which he didn't receive as a small puppy.  He also has an abnormal gait due to a probable bone cyst on his front leg, which cannot be corrected by surgery or otherwise.  Because of his abnormal gait, we are lowering his adoption fee by half, and also offering 3 free training sessions with Scott Holliday at K9 Solutions in Grantsville, MD, if the adopter wants to take advantage of this.  Maddox is a sweet and smart boy and we are hoping to find a great adopter who will love him as much as we do!
