Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Story
Bubbie is a beautiful male white shepherd mix who will make someone a great pet. He is goofy, happy, and friendly and good with other dogs. He and his brother Spot found themselves at a high kill shelter through no fault of their own and were scheduled for euthanasia. Bubbie is about a year old, walks well on the leash, and does well in a crate. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. Apollo is a wiggle worm—busy, full of energy, and endlessly fun! This handsome boy is estimated to be around 1.5 years old. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and could play all day long. Apollo came to DHS from Texas in mid-December and has already stolen the hearts of every staff member. Sweet and rowdy all at once, he’s making great progress with leash walking and basic manners. With a consistent schedule, Apollo will be an amazing companion.Because of his young, energetic nature, Apollo would do best with older children who won’t be easily knocked over. He would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and a training class to help him become the best dog he can be!
