Ollie-male-neutered-3 1/2 years-63 pounds. Ollie arrived at CCHS in tough shape — missing fur, red and inflamed skin, and clearly uncomfortable. After testing, we discovered he had three different types of bacteria in his skin and needed immediate care. With weeks of medicated baths and antibiotics, Ollie slowly healed, his coat began to grow back, and his bright spirit came shining through. Today, Ollie is healthy, handsome, and ready for a home. Ollie is a social, affectionate dog who loves attention and absolutely adores playing fetch with a tennis ball. Once he has that ball, he’ll toss it in the air, catch it, and happily entertain himself. When he wags his little nub tail, his whole backside wiggles with joy. He’s smart, eager to please, and loves being part of the action. If you’re looking for a bright, joyful companion with a heart full of wiggles, Ollie would love to meet you. Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. He was found as a stray over a year ago and no owner ever came forward to claim him.Houdini is very food motivated which makes training easy and fun.He loves to please people and is extremely smart.He’s high energy but as long as you fulfill his mental enrichment he will happily chill on the couch with you.Unfortunately he is reactive towards kids, small dogs, and cats. We believe training would really help in this area and we are happy to pay for his training once we have an adopter committed to giving him a great life. (Due to having children myself and being fairly hands off with Houdini I can’t start his training prior to him being adopted as I would not be able to continue his training myself).He’s good on a leash, great at the vet, great at the groomers and has a lot of potential.He had a training consultation today and the trainer said he will be an amazing dog for the right family.
