Story
Hi there! My name is Nova, and here’s a little about me: Breed: Pointer/Hound mixAge: 2 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 50 lbsHeight: 23”Country of Origin: TurkeyHighlights: Loving, gentle, trusting, affectionate, playful, intelligent I’m a proud tripaw girl with a huge heart and an incredible spirit. I don’t let anything slow me down, and I absolutely adore cuddles, squeaky toys, and spending quality time with my humans.  I ended up in a shelter that was completely overwhelmed — dogs were rounded up from the streets, and the conditions were chaotic. When I arrived, I had been injured and my rear right leg was shattered. Thankfully, my rescuers intervened and rushed me to the vet. My leg couldn’t be saved, so I became a tripaw. Even with all I’ve been through — chaos, injury, and uncertainty — I never lost my loving, trusting nature.  I am currently in a foster home in Canada and I’m doing very well — just waiting for my forever family to come and bring me home! I bond deeply with my humans and love being close to them. I enjoy walks, mental stimulation, and learning new things. I’m gentle with dogs my size and smaller, and I can do well with larger dogs if introductions are slow and careful. I adore cuddles, squeaky toys, and have a cozy crate where I feel safe and peaceful. I would do best in a cat-free home with carpeted or non-slip flooring because I slip on smooth surfaces. I could live as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion. I’d shine with an experienced owner who understands high-drive or pointer/hound breeds and can provide consistent guidance, enrichment, and secure leash handling.  My old vids: https://youtube.com/shorts/bIadHfiXbhY  https://youtu.be/bJEHnUn1jn4 Energy Level : Moderate  I get along with: Dogs: Yes Cats: No Kids: Unknown Fears: I can get startled by loud vehicles or fast bicycles/scooters on walks. Please be patient and reassure me while I gain confidence. Training Leash skills: Yes — please continue training with me. House trained: Yes — please help me learn where to go in a new home. Commands: Come, Sit, Down, Stay — I love learning more! Health Notes: Tripaw (rear right leg amputation due to injury). Fully vaccinated (Rabies, KC, DHPPL) spayed & microchipped My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2399523##

Story
**Note: Currently, Songsol is in Korea, but will arrive in Vancouver upon adoption. For more info about her or the adoption, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/songsol/ ---------------------------------------- Background: Songsol was found on the streets of Yongin, Korea last summer. She had been abandoned and was in terrible condition. Her body was extremely thin, with only skin and bones left. She had severe bedsores and was unable to walk. Weak and exhausted, she was rushed to the hospital where she stayed for one month. After her hospitalization, Songsol joined our partner boarding house. With proper care, she slowly began to gain weight and rebuild her strength. She now lives peacefully with other dogs and continues to grow healthier every day. Personality and Socialization: Songsol is a gentle and loving girl with a medium energy level. She is friendly with everyone she meets and does well with other dogs as long as they are friendly. More than anything, Songsol loves being with her people. She is very affectionate and enjoys cuddling and staying close to her humans. She is truly a people focused dog and feels happiest when she is by your side. Behaviour: Songsol is an easygoing and smart girl. She does well in the car and is calm during baths, grooming, and vet visits. She walks nicely on leash and is generally well behaved. She can experience separation anxiety and prefers being near her humans. For this reason, we are looking for a home where someone is around most of the time and can offer her reassurance and companionship. Health and Diet: While we do not know what Songsol went through before she was found, it is clear that she suffered severe neglect. Thankfully, she has fully recovered and is now healthy and is ready for her forever home. She does not require any special medication or treatment. Songsol is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies. Ideal Home: Songsol is a sweet, gentle, and intelligent dog who deeply loves people. Her ideal home would be one where she is rarely left alone and is included in daily life. A detached house is preferred, as she may bark if she feels anxious when left alone. A quiet environment such as the countryside would suit her well. A retired person or someone who works from home and can spend plenty of time with Songsol would be the perfect match for this loving girl. Apply to become her family today: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/songsol/

Story
🐾✨ Meet Tina — A Gentle, Affectionate Pointer Mix Looking for Her Forever Home ✨🐾 📍 Location: Korea 🇰🇷 (able to fly once adopted ✈️) 🐶 Name: Tina 🎂 Age: Approximately 5 years old ⚖️ Weight: 28.6 lbs ♀ Gender: Female (Spayed) 🐕 Breed: Pointer Mix (possibly Pitbull-Pointer mix) 🎨 Color: White & Black 🧡 Personality & Temperament Tina is a loving, affectionate girl who truly enjoys human touch and closeness. She has a calm and quiet nature, but she also knows how to have fun when it’s time to play. After playtime, she happily settles down and rests — and she does appreciate her downtime. She is gentle, social, and very people-oriented. 👩‍👨‍👧 Social Skills With women: Very good With men: Very good With children: Good With other dogs: Friendly and well-mannered With cats: She may look at them out of curiosity, but if redirected, she quickly loses interest 🏡 Training & Habits Potty trained: 100% pee pad trained and 100% outdoor trained Crate trained: Excellent — very comfortable in her crate Leash manners: Walks nicely and follows well. She only pulls slightly when she needs to potty Car rides: Loves car rides and usually falls asleep after getting in ⚡ Energy Level Moderate. She plays when it’s playtime but needs plenty of rest as well. She has a balanced energy level that makes her adaptable to many lifestyles. 🚨 Things to Note Tina can be startled by loud noises or sudden big movements. In those moments, she may try to jump away, so proper handling and secure leash management are important. She is not destructive in general, but if left alone and food is accessible on high places, she may try to reach it. 🏠 Home Environment Apartment living: ✅ Suitable Yard: Not required, but okay if available Can live as an only dog or with other dogs 💔 Rescue Story Tina was rescued from a large-scale breeding facility for big dogs. Despite her difficult past, she has grown into a loving, gentle, and trusting companion who is ready to start a new chapter with her forever family. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and loyal companion who will stay close to your side, Tina may be your perfect match. 💛

Story
Hi, my name is CARSON (aka Charlie) and here is a little info about me: Age: 5 yearsGender: maleWeight: 60lbs / 27kgHeight: 64cm / 25inHighlights: playful with other dogs, cuddly, good with all adults, food guarding UPDATE: I made it to Canada! New videos added.I was found wandering the streets with injured legs, likely discarded when I could no longer serve the purpose I was once used for — possibly hunting, based on my instincts and gentle nature with people. When a kind animal lover stopped to help me, I tried to climb right into her car. When she let me, I rested my head on her lap the whole ride home to say thank you.I was skin and bones — covered in scrapes and dangerously underweight.  I ended up in an overcrowded shelter where I feared I might lose access to the provided food.   I’ve now made it to Canada and am living in a foster home where I’m gaining weight, building confidence, and learning that food will always be there for me. There is so much good about me. I am fully house trained (though I’ll admit — I’m not a fan of rain and will hold it if I must!). I bond quickly and deeply with my people. I freely approach adults and absolutely love affection. Cuddling? My specialty. My current foster home has children, so given my food resource guarding, that is not a compatible match. I need an adults-only home. Teens who can understand the issue and effectively handle the rules of the situation would likely be fine. The home where I am at would keep me, if not for a young child. While I do get along with other dogs awesomely well, unless you are experienced with a means to separate us for food issues while I overcome my fears of losing my food supply, it might be best if I am the only dog, for now.I am making good progress in so many ways, even after only a few weeks. I am very responsive to learning and am quite intelligent. I am calmly settling in and I am putting on good weight. I am trying to push boundaries with my new freedom, so a confident leader is advised. I am not pulling on the leash so much now and go for daily walks. I'm good with other dogs. I just don't like the little yappy ones, but will pass by them. I do have birdiness and will creep up, then leap at flappy winged creatures.Being left alone at home is not something I enjoy. I am not destructive at all, just a bit unsure that safety will return. But again, that neediness is subsiding drastically, as I settle in. I like going in the car with you and will patiently await your return. Best to not leave groceries with me in the car though. I will think they are mine.I just need someone understanding of my past to give me the time to learn that I will always have food and will never starve again. Please work with me on this and know, it will improve over time. I just need love meanwhile. I will be your bestest loyal boy.See me at the shelter, and new videos added Feb 2026 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q98NxWxuw1Mhttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/myROxX438cohttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/iMFXW2OgpeM Energy level: moderate I get along with:dogs: yescats: nokids: only teens & older Prey drive: medium. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: loss of a food source. Please be patient with me through my transition. Training: Some leash training.  Leash skills still need some work. Generally happily walks alongside human handlers, can become stressed and may refuse to walk when he feels pressure from collar/harness. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: No. Please be prepared to help! Health notes: I have a limp in my right hind leg. My rescuers don’t know what caused it, but according to the vet, there is an old break that healed incorrectly on it's own. No intervention or treatment is necessary or recommended now. I will be able to have a normal life despite my limp. Sometimes I prefer not to use my leg, but when I run and play I do use it. My rescuer can provide X-Rays.I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Story
Hi there. My name is BENEKLI and here is a bit about me:Breed: Pointer mixAge: 9 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: Friendly, Gentle, Loving, Social, Playful Friendly and ready to giv'er in Canada. That is my new motto. Let's have a blast, okay?Times of my life were marked by living in a children's park together with a few other dogs. I  spent time with children and families in the park and loved being around people. After the animal collection law came into effect, I was taken to a shelter. It isn't known how I lost it, but I only have one eye. I could not protect myself and had difficulty eating among the other dogs. I stayed in the shelter for two months and amazingly survived. Now I am living in a dog boarding facility in a cage (yes, you heard that right) and would really like to spread my wings to freedom. In the area where I used to live, there were cats and I had no problems with them. I am fine with other dogs, of course. Not to worry, not having one eye doesn't slow me down at all. I can still romp and play just like everyone else.My ideal home would be one that has a yard, but not a requirement if we can get out for fun times. If my new home allows for yard access, even better. You'll find me to be a bit of a socialite. I enjoy whooping it up with friends. Hard to believe I am a senior, eh? I am gentle & loving though and would enjoy a bit of quiet snuggling moments too.I'd love to spend my golden years in your arms as a Canadian puptizen. Are you ready for me? Videos coming soon.
