Hello! My name is KORSAN and here is a little info about me:Breed: Pointer / Akbash mixAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: affectionate, gentle, social, calm, loving Hope you are up for a sweet and calm boy who loves belly rubs, cuddles, and being near people I trust.I grew up in a children’s park with my two siblings, happily spending my days surrounded by families and kids. I loved the attention and affection I received from people, always ready to show my belly for pets. When a collection law was enforced, I was taken to a shelter, where I faced some rough experiences with other dogs. Thanksfully, after two months, I had rescuers mov me to a boarding facility. Here I patiently wait for the loving forever home I’ve been dreaming of.You'll find me affectionate, calm and gentle. On top of that, I have shown myself to be quite the social and loving gentleman. I form strong bonds quickly and enjoy both playtime and quiet moments with people. I'd be happiest in a home where I can feel safe, loved, and included in family life. I get along with other dog and it has been said I have safely lived with kitties before too.My ideal home will have indoor comfort, plus a yard to explore (though this isn't required, as long as we get plenty of outdoor time too.) I’d do best with a family who can continue my socialization and enjoy spending quality time with me. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no vids)Kids: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no video) Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to train meHouse trained: no. Please help me learn! Health notes: 4DX tests negativeI have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2678851##

Hi there! My name is June, and I’m a sweet little girl looking for a loving forever home! Breed: Pointer MixedAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 23 kg/51lbCountry of origin: LebanonHighlight(s): Gentle, loyal, playful, and full of love I’m June — a soft, loving girl with eyes that tell a whole story. All I really want is to be loved and to belong. Left all alone on a remote road where no one ever passed by, life was tough for days — surviving on whatever could be found, even grass. One day, a hiker spotted me from afar. So thin and weak, yet the moment our eyes met, I ran straight to him, tail wagging, as if I’d known him forever. He couldn’t leave me there — he took me in, cared for me, and gave me a second chance at life. That moment will always be unforgettable, the moment when hope finally found me. I’m a gentle soul — playful, affectionate, and friendly with everyone I meet. I get along well with other dogs and absolutely adore people. I love playing, and warm hugs. I’m the kind of dog who’ll rest her head on your lap and make you feel peaceful just by being near. I’d love a loving home where I can finally feel safe and part of a family. Someone who enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and quiet evenings would be my perfect match. Story
Hello, my name is Taesik! Here is a little info about me: Breed: Labrador/Pointer mixAge: 2 year 4 months old (born Jan 2024)Gender: male    Weight: 66 lbHighlight(s): Calm, Friendly I may be young, but I have already been through quite an adventure in my short life. I was born on January 15, 2024, to a mom who was tied up outside next to busy roads during the cold winter. Thankfully, kind people noticed our situation and brought my mom to a shelter to safely deliver me and my siblings. I am fully gronw now. I didn't have much time with my mom before we were separated, but I learned some valuable social skills from her. She is a people dog, and I like to think I inherited her friendly personality. I am eager to learn and explore the world around me, from meeting new people to going on car rides and walks on a leash. With people, I may have been shy at first, but I am learning to trust and enjoy human companionship. I get along well with other dogs at the shelter, but I have yet to meet a cat. While I am still a bit unsure and nervous on walks, I am working on building my confidence and wagging my tail more often. I have not shown any signs of aggression and am open to new experiences and challenges. I may growl when eating and other dogs approach, but I am working on my manners. While I am not yet fully house trained, I am eager to learn and improve with the help of a patient and loving family. I am excited for the opportunity to find my forever home and continue to grow, learn, and explore the world with my new family by my side. Will you be the one to give me a chance at a happy and fulfilling life? I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: Unsure (though likely per encounter he is probably ok with cats) Kids: Unsure Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped No aggressive behaviours or resource gaurding noted. Story
Hi, I’m Dobby  - a gentle and thoughtful boy ready to find a loving family. Breed: Border Collie / Pointer mixAge: 5.5 yearsGender: Male, neuteredWeight: 26 lbs (12 kg)Height: 17 in (42 cm)Energy Level: Moderate  My story started with a lot of uncertainty. When I was about five months old, I was abandoned by my previous owner and ended up in a poorly run pet shop. I was kept in a tiny crowded room with too many other dogs, and we were all extremely stressed from the lack of space, exercise, and proper care. It’s believed that I was handled roughly there too, especially around my collar, which made it hard for me to trust people at first. Thankfully, compassionate people rescued me in October 2022 and brought me to a caring dog hotel where I could finally feel safe. Since then, I’ve been learning what love, kindness, and comfort feel like — and I’ve made amazing progress. I can be a little shy when meeting strangers, but I warm up quickly, especially if treats are involved! I’m very food-motivated and will happily approach new people for snacks. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. Because I had repeated ear infections in the past, I’m sensitive about my ears being touched. Other than that, I enjoy affection and don’t mind being handled gently. When meeting other dogs, I’m polite and gentle, though I’m not usually interested in playing. Because of my difficult past, I sometimes get jealous when I have to share my humans’ attention with other dogs. I really love bonding closely with my people, so a home where I can be the only dog would help me feel the most secure and happy. Even when I see cats during walks, I stay focused on my handler, which shows how connected and attentive I can be. What I’m looking for most is a patient, loving family who will continue helping me build confidence and enjoy the safe, peaceful life I deserve. Once you earn my trust, I’ll be the sweetest, most loyal little companion by your side. Love,Dobby I get along with: Dogs: Yes (I don't play with them) Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown Training: Leash-trained: Yes (my new family can continue helping me build confidence) House-trained: Yes (I can also use indoor pads, but I prefer going outside) Health: Neutered and microchipped Up to date on vaccinations My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Story
Name: Taki Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Pointer mix Color: White & Black Weight: 16 kg Height (shoulder): 57 cm   Rescue Story Taki entered a municipal shelter in December 2025, wearing a collar, which suggests he may have been abandoned. He was rescued just before euthanasia and transferred to our care in March.   ‍‍ With People Taki is an affectionate and social boy who loves being around people. He happily approaches both familiar and new people, leaning in for pets and attention. He is comfortable being handled and can be picked up by placing arms under his belly. Once he bonds with you, he will even roll over to show his belly.   With Other Dogs Taki is friendly and eager to interact with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet and invite them to play. If other dogs don’t engage, he may bark to express his desire to join in. He tends to be more comfortable with dogs of similar or smaller size and will avoid overly energetic or confrontational dogs. While he enjoys playing with dogs, he generally prefers people over other dogs when given the choice.   With Cats When he sees cats during walks, he shows curiosity but can be redirected easily and follows his handler well. Cat testing is available upon request.   Energy Level Taki has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but he settles down nicely afterward. He loves to play, but his stamina is not very high—he often lies down to rest during play sessions.   ‍ Walks Taki is curious and enjoys sniffing, so he tends to move side to side during walks. He may pull occasionally when excited, and he is currently learning to walk calmly beside his handler.   Other Notes   Not possessive over food with people or dogs, but has a strong appetite and may try to take others’ food May show mild separation-related barking at first, but settles down after a while Uses barking to express wants, especially toward other dogs during play Very responsive and perceptive—he reads human emotions well and quickly understands boundaries Calm and quiet in a kennel Rides well in a crate and gets in and out of the car on his own Currently does outdoor potty   Personality Taki is a simple, pure-hearted, and joyful dog who brings warmth and happiness to those around him. His innocent and loving nature makes him incredibly endearing. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. ##2122916##

Story
Good day all. My name is NEFES, and here is a little info about me:Breed: German Short-haired Pointer mixAge: 1 yearGender: MaleWeight: 17 kg (37 lbs)Country of origin: TurkeyHighlights: Exceptionally people-oriented, affectionate, humorous, thrives on human connection, playful, social My name means “Breath” — a symbol of life and calm — and that truly reflects my gentle, loving nature. I’m happiest when I’m close to my people.I was rescued from a shelter in Turkey. Even in the shelter environment, it was clear that what I wanted most wasn’t freedom to roam — it was human connection. I would always try to be as close to people as possible, seeking comfort and companionship wherever I could find it.Being extremely people-oriented dog, I genuinely thrive on human closeness. While at the shelter, I once escaped my kennel and hid in the women’s changing room, curling up peacefully and falling asleep — simply because I wanted to be near people. On another occasion, I climbed through an open window late at night and quietly tucked myself under a blanket beside my caregiver. My intention was never mischief — it was connection. These moments perfectly capture who I am: affectionate, funny, deeply loving, and happiest when sharing space with my humans. I'm really a joyful guy.I am playful and social, with a cheerful personality that makes people smile. I don’t just enjoy attention — I seek meaningful closeness and companionship.A home where I can be an active part of daily life is a place I will thrive. A family or individual who enjoys having their dog close by — whether relaxing indoors or going for walks — would be ideal for me. I am well accustomed to walking on a leash amd doing my business outdoors. ##2683597##

Story
Hi there. My name is BENEKLI and here is a bit about me:Breed: Pointer mixAge: 3 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: Friendly, Gentle, Loving, Social, Playful Friendly and ready to giv'er in Canada. That is my new motto. Let's have a blast, okay?Times of my life were marked by living in a children's park together with a few other dogs. I  spent time with children and families in the park and loved being around people. After the animal collection law came into effect, I was taken to a shelter. It isn't known how I lost it, but I only have one eye. I could not protect myself and had difficulty eating among the other dogs. I stayed in the shelter for two months and amazingly survived. Now I am living in a dog boarding facility in a cage (yes, you heard that right) and would really like to spread my wings to freedom. In the area where I used to live, there were cats and I had no problems with them. I am fine with other dogs, of course. Not to worry, not having one eye doesn't slow me down at all. I can still romp and play just like everyone else.My ideal home would be one that has a yard, but not a requirement if we can get out for fun times. If my new home allows for yard access, even better. You'll find me to be a bit of a socialite. I enjoy whooping it up with friends. Hard to believe I am a senior, eh? I am gentle & loving though and would enjoy a bit of quiet snuggling moments too.I'd love to spend my golden years in your arms as a Canadian puptizen. Are you ready for me?
