Story
Shadow is a sweet, resilient five year old boy who has endured more than any dog should. He was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico and brought to Tampa Bay, where he finally experienced the comfort of a loving home. But after a crosscountry move triggered severe anxiety, he was surrendered, leaving his heart broken once again. For a moment, things seemed to turn around. Shadow was adopted by another family and began to settle in. But when his vision started to fade, his family chose not to seek answers and returned him to us. He came back overweight, with swollen ankles, and carrying the weight of yet another loss. We soon learned that Shadow has a thyroid condition. With medication, a healthy diet, and proper care, he is already improving and showing glimpses of the happy, playful pup he truly is. His vision changes may even be connected to this condition, and he is undergoing further evaluation to give him the best chance possible. Through every setback, Shadow has remained the same at his core: a loving, affectionate dog who simply wants to be close to his people. He deserves a calm, patient home where he can continue healing and finally be cherished for the incredible companion he is. Shadow has been let down too many times, but we believe his forever family is out there. Please help us find them. Share his story. Open your heart. This brave boy deserves the soft landing he has always needed.         ##2177020##

Story
Kris came to FLUFF in early December from the Florida/Georgia line after spending her life as a stray. She and several other dogs were cared for by a kind Good Samaritan who made sure they had food, water, and what shelter he could provide. When he sadly passed away, a group of compassionate people stepped in to ensure these pups were safe and ultimately placed with rescues where they could have a chance at forever homes. Until coming to FLUFF, Kris had likely never been handled, and the comforts of a domesticated life are still new and sometimes scary for her. With time and patience in her foster home, she has begun to blossom. She absolutely adores her furry siblings, has discovered that soft couches and cozy beds are actually pretty wonderful, and is learning that sitting quietly near her humans can be a nice thing, too. Kris is still unsure about leashes and too much petting or affection, and that’s okay—she’s learning at her own pace. She will need a calm, patient home with another confident, friendly dog to help guide her and show her the ropes. Her ideal human understands that trust takes time and is happy to let Kris simply be part of the family from a distance at first, with no pressure or expectations. Kris may never be a fully “typical” dog—and that’s perfectly okay. What she offers is something just as special: a gentle soul who deserves safety, kindness, and the chance to live life on her own terms, surrounded by love. https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Story
Hi, my name is Kringle, and I came from a rough start, living outdoors on a property without ever knowing human touch. Everything changed for me in November when I arrived at FLUFF Animal Rescue. I was very scared and unsure, and while I allowed care for my basic needs. With time, patience, and kindness, I’ve started to come out of my shell. I now take treats from people, enjoy having calm, gentle company, and am beginning to accept slow, soft pets from those I trust. I also really enjoy spending time outside and playing. I’m still learning the basics—like leash walking and what it means to just be a dog—but I’m making steady progress. My ideal home is with someone who understands that I’m a work in progress. I’m not a cuddly dog right away, but I have so much potential. I need a patient, committed person who will give me the time, space, and guidance to continue building trust. A home that will support my journey with crate training, leash training, and confidence-building will help me continue to grow. I may take time, but I promise I’m worth it. Every step forward I take is something truly special, and I’m looking for someone who will celebrate those moments with me as I learn what it means to feel safe and loved. https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Story
Calvin has a lot going for him, but this reads a bit dense and could be tightened to sound more polished, confident, and adoption-focused. Here’s a stronger version with better flow: Calvin is a young purebred German Shorthaired Pointer looking for an experienced and active home. He recently graduated from our trainer’s Board and Train program and is prong and e-collar conditioned with a solid training foundation already in place. He is fully up to date on all veterinary care and monthly preventatives, with no known health issues or allergies. Calvin is house trained, crate trained at night and when left alone, and enjoys structure in the home. He is being rehomed due to severe littermate syndrome that has created conflict with the family’s other dog. In most incidents, the other dog has been the instigator. Outside of that home dynamic, Calvin has consistently tested well with other dogs and does well in playgroups. Calvin loves being outdoors and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and enjoy an active lifestyle. He is energetic and athletic, but not as over-the-top as many GSPs can be, making him a great introduction to the breed for the right family. He is social with people and does well with children. He does have high prey drive, so no small animals. For adopters within an hour of Parrish, free follow-up training sessions are included. Calvin would make an excellent active companion or even a nice lower-level demo dog for another trainer. Serious inquiries only for this handsome guy.

Story
Victoria is a beautiful one-year-old Dalmatian with a gentle soul and a heart full of untapped love. She’s searching for a forever home that understands that trust takes time and that patience can change everything. Victoria is a shy, fearful girl who needs a calm, kind environment to truly shine. Soft voices, slow movements, and consistent love help her feel safe, and once she does, her walls begin to come down. When she trusts you, her bond is incredibly special. You can see her curiosity peek through, her tail start to wag a little more, and her personality slowly bloom. She would do best in a quieter home with a securely fenced yard where she can feel protected and learn to enjoy the world at her own pace. Victoria can be an only dog or live with another calm, friendly pup, as long as introductions are slow and respectful. This sweet girl has so much potential and so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and walk beside her as she continues to blossom. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances, gentle growth, and the magic of earning a dog’s trust, Victoria might be your perfect match. ##2546418##

Story
Pegasus is an around two-year-old dog with a sweet, curious personality and striking blue eyes. He gets along well with other dogs and kids, and may also do fine with cats. He would enjoy an active home that matches his playful energy and includes him in daily life. He adapts easily to new environments and is generally happy and easygoing. Pegasus likes backyard playtime, neighborhood walks, and even tagging along to places like coffee shops or breweries. After a day of activity, he settles in nicely for cuddles and relaxation. He is smart, social, and affectionate—a good balance of fun-loving and companionable. Pegasus would do well with a family that stays active and wants a dog to join in on outings, whether that means playing fetch, exploring, or winding down together at the end of the day. For someone looking for a friendly, engaging dog who brings a lot of life and warmth, Pegasus has plenty to offer. He is ready for a home where he can be part of the adventures and the quiet moments alike. ##2076977##
