Story
Winston is definitely an outgoing pet! He is 6 years old and loves to run out side and explore. We purchased him from a puppy mill and we were happy to give him a home with kids who loved him. But, we realize that he needs a family with property so that he can run and explore. Obviously he is bird dog who loves to hunt and see what is going on around. His deep bark is very distinctive and can even be intimidating to some. We spend time both in Atlanta and Lake Oconee but don't have a large unfenced area for him to run free. We try to socialize him with other pets, but unfortunately it is rare currently. He needs a home with other animals and space to run and explore. He has an unlimited appetite! Because he runs all the time he wants to eat all the time! He thrives on healthy nutritious food and pet snacks. Cheap pet food upsets his stomach. Great pet and we love his energy! But, space to let him be true to his nature is hard at this time for us.

Story
Duke is a three-year-old, 51-pound mix of probably a Bluetick Hound, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and a little Lab. He was picked up as a stray by a shelter, so little is known about him except that he seems to be an amiable dog with people and other dogs. He was in good health and appeared clean in his kennel, so we think he had a good home at one time and would be an easy dog to adopt. If you love this unique-looking boy, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply.  FROM THE FOSTER: Devilish and Dashing Duke is a gorgeous charmer. People comment, “What a beautiful dog!” He is handsome. Every day is a new adventure for him to embrace. He is very curious and likes to walk. Duke can be very energetic and spirited, but at night he is calm, sleeping through the night. He likes to be near you but will chill out and nap. Duke loves a yard where he can smell and run around while keeping an eye on squirrels. He knows basic commands, is crate trained, fetches, and is housebroken. He is good around strangers and dogs. Duke makes me laugh at least once per day. He is loving and caring. Duke is intelligent and quickly learns new commands and tricks with treat training. Due to his age and energy levels, continued training and boundaries are a must. Duke is a special dog ready to find a family, do not miss your chance. ##1543777##
