Story
DOBBIE!!! The best way to understand this quirky little guy is to Google search Dobbie from Harry Potter. My son named him and it's THE PERFECT FIT for him and he knows his name! He's wildly entertaining, flits through the house like a hummingbird. His only bad habit is that he's a counter surfer but he's so cute when he does it that he rarely gets in trouble and he's never actually gotten anything. I think he's just curious what's up there. To live this guy you have to know his backstory . We pulled his sister from a rural shelter and she was very well socialized and got adopted within two weeks. The Director of the Shelter reached out and said you know we have his brother? I said no. In comes Dobbie and he is nothing like his sister. Human touch was like nails on a chalkboard for him, he had no idea what a leash was, and he was petrified of all humans. Fast forward four months. He is a perfect gentleman on leash, he loves attending doggy daycare, he is perfectly house trained, he doesn't love the kennel, but he will sleep in his little dog bed right next to his people. and he SEEKS OUT human affection! It has been the most beautiful and rewarding transformation, and he is little nub tail never stops wagging. He becomes very attached to his humans these days. He loves other dogs, and he loves to run and play in the yard. If you couldn't tell by now, he is my Foster and he's with me in Memphis, Tennessee. Once adopted, he will travel on rescue vet transport to his new forever family. They travel each weekend to the northeast, leaving Memphis, Tennessee Friday mornings around 6 AM and making delivery stops along the way all the way up to West Greenwich, Rhode Island. if you would like to make Dobbie a part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Also, please note, he is listed as a small dog because he is right at 30 pounds, he's tall and very thin and petite in nature. Transport is an additional $185. PS that last photo was taken through a window, so although he looks dirty, he is jet black, and that was the best picture capturing his ears. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Hello! My name is Cheyenne and I am about 5 years old. I was used for breeding so being out of a kennel is new to me. Don't get me wrong, I was well taken care of for a breeding dog but I have always wanted to be a "pet". The staff here told me that I will NEVER have to have babies ever again! Woo Hoo! They call me a "leaner" because I love leaning on people, I love attentions and belly rubs, I will even give you hugs!! I'm looking for a calm and patient family who understands that I need a little extra time to adjust to new surroundings. A quiet home without too much commotion would be perfect for me. I'd love to have a fenced yard where I can explore safely and maybe even a canine friend who can show me the ropes and help boost my confidence. Most importantly, I need someone who will be gentle, understanding, and willing to give me all the love and support I need to overcome my fears. Also I can't live with cats! I don't really understand them and I just want to chase them. If you think you could be the one to give me the loving home I deserve, please submit an application. I may be a little scared now, but with the right family by my side, I know I can blossom into the happy and confident pup I was meant to be.
