Story
This is Cooper. He and his sweet sister, Katie have been tossed around from rescue to rescue and living in kennels for over a year! First springer rescue got them and left them in a kennel for months before deciding they weren't springers and then someone else stepped up but they stayed in a kennel again. We have had them now and are working with them. They are so sweet and happy! Cooper walks well on a leash and is pretty close to house trained. He is neutered, UTD on all vaccines and is HW neg. We are so desperate to find these babies a loving home to live out their lives in that we are cutting the adoption fee in half but they must stay together. Please consider them! You will not regret it. Please email omlc7@hotmail.com and we will send our info and application. They are used to being outside a lot so a fenced yard is a requirement.

This adorable little gal came to us all the way from Georgia along with her sister, Baby Mollie. Baby Mindy is your typical puppy, very friendly, outgoing, and playful. She loves all dogs, big and small. She is also very affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled. At her young age, Baby Mindy is in her prime for training and socialization, and she will make a wonderful companion for years to come. Please remember that young puppies require a lot of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Submit an application today and change this sweet girl's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13556AGE: approximately 3 yearsESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 78 lbs, with a little to shedKNOWN WITH DOGS: Pongo is not quite sure how to play with other dogs due to a lack of socialization. He is a bit reactive when it comes to meeting dogs while he is on leash. We recommend that Pongo be the only dog in his home or only meet new dogs when he can be given the appropriate time to adjust. Pongo is currently living peacefully with 8 other dogs, but that did require a period of time where he could see, smell and hear them but not approach them.KNOWN WITH CATS: Pongo has had limited exposure to cats and he was reactive from a distanceKNOWN WITH KIDS: Pongo LOVES people of all sizes. More to love him. He is very strong and the kids should not be walking him on leash.KNOWN COMMANDS: Pongo knows sit and down although he is almost always in that position anyway. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Pongo does well in crates and is housebroken. However, he does not use a crate in his foster home as he is not destructive, just purely lazy.KNOWN LIKES: Pongo likes to pets and loves to chew hard bones and toys.KNOWN DISLIKES: Pongo does not like other dogs in his space until he knows them. He really doesn't like bossy dogs at all.ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: You know how they say, "bigger is better"? Well, foster mom disagrees and he is on a mission to shed a few pounds (but he’s still convinced it's all muscle).Pongo's got a smile that could melt butter and a personality as sweet as a cookie. If you're up for lounging around, he's your guy. Pongo is a master cuddler, always ready to soak up the love.Don’t miss out on the chance to welcome this adorable, goofy bundle of joy into your life – hit that apply button now before someone else snags him!
