Story
Hi there! I’m Bruno, a 3.5-year-old mix-breed, which means I’m equal parts adventure-sniffer and cuddle pro. I’m a sweet, loyal guy who adores my humans and loves being part of everything they do - walks, tennis ball chases, or couch snuggles. I’m a smart, affectionate guy who loves a good routine, and my brain works extra hard for any treats! I'm also house-trained, and crate-trained. Mostly, I just want to be near my people and love them endlessly. I can sometimes be unsure of new faces and furry friends, but with a good, slow introduction and my ongoing training, I’ve really enjoyed making new friends. I'm ready to bring my best, well-behaved self to my next adventure! I’d thrive in a calm, adult-only home as the only pet with a patient, confident person who believes in positive reinforcement. In return, I’ll fill your home with joy, wags, and the best snuggles ever. Insta: @big.head.little.legs

Story
Elegant, affectionate, and just a little bit goofy — Baylee is a 5-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who is as stunning in person as she is sweet. This petite beauty bonds quickly and loves being close to her people (she chose to sleep under the covers her very first night in foster). She’s sensitive, eager to please, and thrives with calm, consistent guidance. Her recall is excellent and after a good run in a secure field, she settles nicely at home. Baylee is fully housebroken (she’ll whine to go out), not a counter surfer, and easy to redirect. She can be a little anxious in new environments but improves quickly with structure and daily, breed-appropriate exercise. True to her pointer roots, she has a silly streak — shadows are fascinating, and she proudly drags her blankie around like a prize. She has lived with a dog and a child previously, has done well at dog parks, and is currently most comfortable with calmer dogs. Slow introductions are recommended. She’s been easily redirected from a cat and does not show unmanageable prey drive. She’s not fully crate-comfortable in foster yet but has crated successfully before and is improving with positive reinforcement. Baylee would do best in an active, steady home — ideally with someone familiar with sporting breeds — who will provide exercise, structure, and patience while she builds confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal, trainable, affectionate companion with classic pointer charm, Baylee may be your girl. Baylee is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Story
We acquired Kola in the heart of the COVID pandemic in 2020. She captured our hearts with her energy, personality, and gentle yet protective nature. We purchased Kola from a family from North Carolina and she was born at the end of January. So, she is coming up her birthday soon. Her birthday is January 22nd. She will be 6 years old next week. We are looking for a new home for Kola because we recently had our son (15 months). Although she’s really good with the baby, we are unable to keep up with her daily needs (walking and playing). She gave our family some great years and we want to ensure we find a good home for her years to come. If you are passionate about animals and family oriented, please give her profile a look. Thank you!

Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
