Chief is an adult German Shorthaired Pointer with a sweet, people-focused personality. He loves being close, getting affection, playing with balls and lasers, and having a calm routine. He is cautious with strangers at first, but warms up when he is able to sniff and observe.He needs to be the only dog in the home. Over the last few years, he has become increasingly reactive around other dogs and has a bite history with dogs. He is not fit for dog parks daycare, multi-dog homes, or casual dog introductions without training. He needs a person that understands dog reactivity and can manage his environment when it gets too loud.Chief has lived with a cat and tolerated it, but would do best as a solo pet. We can no longer safely manage two dogs that aren't getting along, and Chief deserve a stable home where can be loved, understood, love back, and have consistency. He is reactive to a lot of change, and we no longer have a stable enough home for him to rest happily.

Willow is an 11-12 week old German Shorthair puppy. She does have a natural (not docked) tail. She currently weighs 12 pounds and will likely be a larger medium sized adult. The breeder maintains that Willow and Maple are purebred GSP. We have no way to guarentee that one way or the other. These are nice, friendly pups no matter if they are purebred or not. Willow loves toys. She loves to see and hear ducks, geese and cranes flying overhead. Willow is not yet house or crate trained. She is a baby puppy and her new family will need to train her. She has not lived with cats or children, but she could be thoughtfully introduced to either one in a new home. She is a typical happy, social puppy. She will benefit from a puppy training class in the upcoming weeks. A little time and she is going to be your very best friend. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200.
