Story
Darci is a cute little girl looking for her forever home. She is 40 lbs and approx 2 years old. She loves to run and stretch her long legs. She has mastered walking on a leash and has done so well. She is a very smart girl. Darci gets along well with other dogs. She would make a great addition to any family. Taking her on walks, jogs, or hikes would be right up her alley. She is crate-trained and housetrained when taken out on a regular schedule. She is such a pretty little girl who is the perfect size companion. By the way, she loves to go on car rides and is the perfect little girl when in public places. Darci is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final before your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged for dogs that are adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! Birthdate: 1/10/2016Breed: One of a kindRemi is a good boy with everyone he meets! He especially loves to go out for his walks and spend time with his favorite volunteers. You will often find Remi in a play yard romping and hopping with his little tail wagging. Remi would do best in a home with an experienced owner, someone that can give him a loving routine and some exercise! If you are that person, you truly will have the best of friends in Remi. *Remi would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36924/generic. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.March 7, 2026, 11:22 am

Story
I am going through a life change situation right now and I’m under a lot of stress mentally as well and I can barely take care of myself. Ven is 8 year old and turning 9 in 2027 March. I adopted him July 2020 from a shelter in NJ when he was 2. He used to be very energetic and he loves chasing squirrels. He now is much calmer but he’s in very good physical health. So he can be a good running partner He does need constant training with not pulling on the leash. He generally doesn’t do good with small animals. He’s scared of loud noises and does not like water. He’s house trained and knows basic commands. He could benefit from a home with a love for outdoors because he enjoys a lot of running and exploring. He’s very active.

Story
Huck is an exuberant, friendly fellow. Nearly two, he is full of energy and enthusiasm, especially for hunting squirrels and showering you with affection. He loves to play, cuddle and select favorite toys from his toy box. He has gone through kindergarten and elementary obedience but needs consistency and reinforcement. He likes cats but his high prey drive makes it a cautionary friendship. He is an excellent pointer and loves to hike in the woods.

Story
Meet Red — Your 52-Lb. Velcro Best Friend! Red is a 1.5-year-old, 52-pound sweetheart who was rescued from a shelter’s euthanasia list along with his three siblings. Now that he’s safe in foster care, Red is showing everyone just how special he is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Red is your guy. He’s a true Velcro dog who loves being near his people—whether that means sitting next to you, following you from room to room, or simply keeping you company. Despite his young age, Red is wonderfully calm, chill, and easygoing. He isn’t a high-energy dog and is perfectly happy hanging out with his favorite people. He’s also great with both big and small dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a family. We think he’d be especially lovely with children. Red is smart, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. He also has a hilarious mischievous side! He loves sneaking off with things from the outdoor table, and when his foster catches him with his latest treasure, he proudly acts like he’s just won the jackpot. He’s also a bit of a Houdini—Red can figure out how to escape when given the opportunity. But here’s the funny part: he doesn’t actually want to go anywhere! He’ll escape, only to follow his people around anyway. He just wants to be wherever you are. And mornings are one of Red’s specialties. When he sees his person first thing, he likes to jump up and say hello with what can only be described as a big, happy good-morning hug. He definitely loves his toys, especially balls!! Red is the kind of dog who makes you feel loved simply by being around you. He’s sweet, gentle, affectionate, smart, loyal, and wonderfully laid-back—with just enough goofy personality to keep you laughing. Red is ready for a family of his own. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will follow you everywhere, greet you with hugs, and happily spend his days by your side, Red may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Red is neutered, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily.
