Remi would do best in a home with an experienced owner, someone that can give him a loving routine and some exercise! If you are that person, you truly will have the best of friends in Remi. *Remi would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with three training sessions! If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 26, 2025, 12:43 am

Meet Jasmine! 🌼 Jasmine is a 1-year-old, big, sweet, and goofy girl who is looking for her forever home. We’ve had her since she was about 7–8 months old, after she was heartbreakingly dumped and literally starving. She has come such a long way and is now a happy, healthy, playful dog. 🐶 Personality Very high energy and playful, LOVES other dogs and does great with them. Great with kids, though she is a big girl and may jump up when excited, Super smart and a quick learner Loves toys and playtime, she’s a very silly girl. Currently learning leash manners—she needs a minute to calm down but then walks well 🏡 Ideal Home Jasmine would thrive in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and continued training. She would do great with another dog and with a family who enjoys a big, loving, goofy companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling, Jasmine might be your perfect match! 💛🐾 Jasmine is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Story
MEET ME IN MIDDLETOWN, CT! I JUST MOVED HERE! Howdy folks. My name is Tina, and I am a pretty and petite German Shorthaired Pointer/Shar-Pei mix, about 2 years old, and I weigh just 32 lbs. I was brought into the City of San Antonio “Kill” shelter as possibly being hit by a car, but just had a few scrapes, and nothing was broken, thank goodness! I was having a problem with my right eye squinting, which the shelter couldn't figure out, and another local vet thought my eyelid might be curling in, but when I came up positive for a tick disease, easily treated with 30 days of Doxycycline, my eye cleared up, and it turns out it was one of the symptoms. These days, I am happy and healthy, no longer squinting, and I’m ready to find a forever home! I am a very sweet and easygoing girl, and I make friends easily with everyone I meet. I’m talkin’ kids, dogs, cats, strangers, men, women, I’m lovely. I am playful and lovable and have never barked once at my foster home. I am well-behaved, already housebroken, walk well on a leash, and will sit nicely in the passenger seat or back seat on a car ride. I’m not really into dog toys, but I’m into pleasing my people, and just so you know, I’m a very sound sleeper! Inquire about me today. Another YouTube video of Tina: https://youtube.com/shorts/VxKkgFBmkFU * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Story
Hello Northeastern people! I am a very sweet and pretty Great Pyrenees/Pointer mix named Angel. I am 10 months old, weigh 65 pounds, and I’m lovely. I was adopted as a little puppy from a rescue in San Antonio, Texas, and was loved and cared for by my family, but due to recent busy schedules and no time for dogs, I was surrendered along with my doggy housemate, Tex (also listed for adoption), to 4 Little Paws Rescue so we could each find better futures. My foster parents say I am a dog that everyone would love to have… sweet, calm, smart, and very obedient. I have a medium energy, gentle nature, a bit shy at first with new people, and I adore the company of other dogs. I prefer playing with dogs and humans rather than toys, and will sit for treats and hot dogs. I’m affectionate, love hugs and kisses, following you around the house, and while working in the garden, I'll be keeping you company. I am very well-behaved and have never been crated. I’m great in a home, trustworthy and respectful, fully housebroken, and I only bark when I need to alert you. I LOVE walks on a leash, and when you go for a drive, I’m excited to go! I am easy to love, easy to live with, and as beautiful inside as I am on the outside. Inquire about me today! Story
Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
