MEET ME IN MIDDLETOWN, CT! I JUST MOVED HERE! Howdy folks. My name is Tina, and I am a pretty and petite German Shorthaired Pointer/Shar-Pei mix, about 2 years old, and I weigh just 32 lbs. I was brought into the City of San Antonio “Kill” shelter as possibly being hit by a car, but just had a few scrapes, and nothing was broken, thank goodness! I was having a problem with my right eye squinting, which the shelter couldn't figure out, and another local vet thought my eyelid might be curling in, but when I came up positive for a tick disease, easily treated with 30 days of Doxycycline, my eye cleared up, and it turns out it was one of the symptoms. These days, I am happy and healthy, no longer squinting, and I’m ready to find a forever home! I am a very sweet and easygoing girl, and I make friends easily with everyone I meet. I’m talkin’ kids, dogs, cats, strangers, men, women, I’m lovely. I am playful and lovable and have never barked once at my foster home. I am well-behaved, already housebroken, walk well on a leash, and will sit nicely in the passenger seat or back seat on a car ride. Hello Northeastern people! I am a very sweet and pretty Great Pyrenees/Pointer mix named Angel. I am 10 months old, weigh 65 pounds, and I’m lovely. I was adopted as a little puppy from a rescue in San Antonio, Texas, and was loved and cared for by my family, but due to recent busy schedules and no time for dogs, I was surrendered along with my doggy housemate, Tex (also listed for adoption), to 4 Little Paws Rescue so we could each find better futures. My foster parents say I am a dog that everyone would love to have… sweet, calm, smart, and very obedient. I have a medium energy, gentle nature, a bit shy at first with new people, and I adore the company of other dogs. I prefer playing with dogs and humans rather than toys, and will sit for treats and hot dogs. I’m affectionate, love hugs and kisses, following you around the house, and while working in the garden, I'll be keeping you company. I am very well-behaved and have never been crated. Welcome Oaks to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Oaks is a 1.5 year old German Short haired pointer and German Shepherd. He is about 48 pounds and a good weight. He is good in a car, potty trained, doggy door trained and lives with six children starting at age 2. He also lives with 6 other dogs and does fine. He would be great with a family and children would be fine. We like them to be 8 or older. He is smart, laid back, good with other dogs and bonds deeply to his family. He is a little timid with strangers but comfortable with his people. His foster family is going to start taking him places so he can get used to changes in environment and other people. He is smart but he doesn’t like to retrieve like his sister does. He is a nice dog and naturally a little protective to his family. He would be great with a family that the dad travels and he wants to feel that his family is safe and taken care of. He is a moderate shedding dog and with his long legs would be a great walking or jogging companion. He is neutered, healthy and getting his vaccinations and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200.
