Before arriving at PORT, she hadn’t known loving hands, and because of that she is extremely anxious and unsure. Everything is new to her — gentle voices, soft beds, patient touch. The good news? She is dog friendly and truly lights up around other dogs. Sally would thrive in a home with a confident, kind canine companion who can help show her the ropes and teach her how to just be a dog. Because of her anxiety, an adult-only home would be best for her so she can feel safe, move at her own pace, and continue building trust. Sally Girl doesn’t need perfection — she just needs patience, consistency, and someone willing to let her bloom in her own time. The transformation waiting inside her is going to be beautiful. 💛

We rescued this dog a couple times in our neighborhood and returned her to her owners. They eventually abandoned the house and left her there. We’ve taken her in ever since - she’s a great dog, very very smart and very sweet. We just don’t have a job for her to get energy out. She would thrive with another high energy dog and space to play. She LOVES kids, but doesn’t know how to contain her excitement around them, that’s why I said no for that part. She would be such a great dog to people that can give her the time. ❤️

She rides great in the car, is very dog-social, and absolutely loves people.We haven’t seen her with cats yet, and while we haven’t observed her around kids, families are welcome to bring their children to meet her.Yin Yin settled into a weekend foster home incredibly quickly, showing just how adaptable and easygoing she is. As for breed? We’re guessing maybe an English Pointer mix (with one or more mystery ingredients). But honestly—if “sweet and wonderful” were a breed, that would be Yin Yin’s. 💕🩺 Medical & Care Info:✔️ Spayed✔️ Heartworm & Lyme negative✔️ Vaccinated (including Rabies)✔️ On heartworm prevention✔️ Flea & tick prevention✔️ Microchipped💲 Adoption fee: $225Yin Yin is ready to find her forever home—and whoever gets her will be very lucky. 🐶💖You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. We're located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. Our adoption is open and easy, please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.
