She’s learning the ropes of being a family dog and is ready for a patient, loving home to call her own. ✨ House Training & Crate She does well when taken out regularly and has been accident-free in her crate for weeks! She sleeps through the night in her crate like a champ. ✨ Personality & Quirks Maple can still get nervous with loud noises or quick movements, and sometimes pees when she’s scared. If startled, she may bolt — usually just to hunker down under furniture — so a secure yard and watchful eye are important. ✨ Good with Others • Plays well with other dogs 🐶 • Gets along with cats 🐱 • Great with kids 💕 • Still a little unsure about men at first, but has warmed up beautifully to her foster dad. ✨ Other Notes Maple should not be around chickens — she will chase and try to eat them 🐔. This gentle girl has made incredible progress and just needs someone willing to go slow, offer reassurance, and celebrate her wins. With love and patience, Maple will blossom into the most loyal companion. 🌟

Amira is a goofy girl who absolutely loves her people! She’s happiest when she’s right by your side—whether you’re doing chores around the house or settling in for a movie night, she’ll be there keeping you company. Amira does great with other dogs and kids, and she loves playing tug-of-war with her dog friends or proudly carrying a stuffy around like it’s her prized possession. Food is definitely one of her favorite things! When it’s time to eat, she gets so excited she’ll bounce all the way to her kennel like a little bucking bronco. She knows how to sit, and when you ask her to “down,” she’ll happily flop right onto her back. Amira walks on a leash and does well, though she can occasionally get nervous and put on the brakes—but a few treats and some encouragement get her moving again. She’s ready for her forever home and would do great as an only dog or with canine siblings. Amira is just looking for a family to love—and to stick close to forever. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport your area)

She rides great in the car, is very dog-social, and absolutely loves people.We haven’t seen her with cats yet, and while we haven’t observed her around kids, families are welcome to bring their children to meet her.Yin Yin settled into a weekend foster home incredibly quickly, showing just how adaptable and easygoing she is. As for breed? We’re guessing maybe an English Pointer mix (with one or more mystery ingredients). But honestly—if “sweet and wonderful” were a breed, that would be Yin Yin’s. 💕🩺 Medical & Care Info:✔️ Spayed✔️ Heartworm & Lyme negative✔️ Vaccinated (including Rabies)✔️ On heartworm prevention✔️ Flea & tick prevention✔️ Microchipped💲 Adoption fee: $225Yin Yin is ready to find her forever home—and whoever gets her will be very lucky. 🐶💖You can apply on our website www.highlandhumanesociety.org OR stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time.
