Story
Meet Le'a, a young dog full of love and loyalty. She's the perfect blend of playful and mellow, always ready for a game or a quiet cuddle. Despite her shyness, Le'a's curiosity shines through as she explores her surroundings with gentle enthusiasm. Smart and friendly, she quickly learns new tricks and loves to please her human friends. Le'a's petite size makes her an ideal companion for any home. Adopt Le'a and discover a loyal friend who will bring joy and companionship to your life.Notes from foster:Le’a is about 2 years old and weighs around 35 lbs — a perfect medium size. She is very friendly and loves everyone she meets — men, women, and children — and she enjoys attention and affection. She also gets along well with other dogs. Because she is playful, a home with a canine playmate would be wonderful. She is intelligent, food-motivated, and very trainable. She already knows sit, down, and watch (making eye contact on cue). She walks well on a leash and is house- and crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.Le’a has moderate to high energy and would thrive with an active person or family who enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor activities. At the same time, she is very affectionate and loves spending time with her people. She loves car rides and makes a wonderful travel companion. She enjoys putting her head out the window to feel the breeze and take in the scenery, but she can also relax and wait quietly in the car.Her markings are stunning, and she receives compliments everywhere she goes. A dog sitter who cared for her for a week reported that she ignored the household cat, though her long-term compatibility with cats is unknown. When she gets excited, she may jump up to greet people, but with positive training this behavior has already been improving.Le’a is a loving, joyful dog who will truly flourish in a home that can give her activity, structure, and plenty of affection. If you are interested in meeting Le'a, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday 11am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm. Story
Looking for a puppy who skipped the manic phase and went straight to a sophisticated gentleman? Tenderheart is currently accepting applications for a forever person to lounge with, and he’s bringing his calm, freckled charm to the table. watch his adoption video! It’s mostly just high quality footage of him being unbothered by the chaos around him. It’s very zen. https://youtu.be/J7Tl-5n99zQ Tenderheart isn't about that bounce off the walls life. During his stay, while the other pups were busy investigating every corner, Tenderheart decided a nap was a much better use of his time. Just found a cozy spot and said this is the life! He is a total hang out dog who takes his job as a calm companion very seriously! Whether you’re binge watching a show or reading a book, Tenderheart is perfectly happy just being your steady, silent partner, likely offering a heavy head on your foot as moral support. At 12 lbs, Tenderheart is a sturdy bundle of calm yet aloof sweetness and you will absolutely wanna take everywhere! We’re guessing he’s an Australian Cattle Dog mix (check out that amazing pattern on his face and legs), but like all rescue mysteries, his DNA is a total surprise box. Tenderheart is already rocking the distinguished gentleman look… even though he’s technically still a puppy. Don’t let the baby status fool you, this boy carries himself like a wise old soul in a fluffy little body. One minute he’s strutting around like he pays the rent, and the next he’s plopping down beside you for cuddles like your personal snuggle assistant. Big heart, big paws, and enough lovable goofiness to fill your entire living room (and probably your couch, too). Tenderheart has been the most polite houseguest in his foster home! He’s a bit of a thinker who likes to observe everything before deciding to join in. He’s getting the hang of the indoor dog life and is a total natural in his crate. Car rides? He handles them like a pro, usually spent catching up on more beauty sleep as your favorite Navigator. He’s gentle and respectful with everyone he meets, mostly because he’s too busy being cool to be bothered by the little things. Basically, Tenderheart is a deluxe, limited edition bundle of freckled fluff who is fully prepared to be the Main Character of your life. He’s rocking adorable speckled socks like tiny fashion statements and comes equipped with a personality that is 100% sweet, soft, and gentle. One look at that little face and suddenly you’re rearranging your entire schedule around cuddle time. If your heart could use a little extra puppy peace (and maybe a few goofy zoomies), congratulations your new emotional support marshmallow has arrived!
