Story
Kevin Henson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Hey there! I’m Kevin, the life of the party! I’m a handsome Pointer mix with a personality as big as my love for life. At about 65 pounds, I’m a playful, goofy guy who loves toys, treats, adventures, and being right in the middle of the action. I’m all grown up, too, so there won’t be any surprises when it comes to my size! I’m a smart boy who is eager to learn, and food is definitely the way to my heart. That makes me a pretty great student! I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and always ready for some fun, whether that means zooming around outside, playing with my favorite toys, or hanging out with my people. With my size and energy, I’d absolutely love a home with a fully fenced yard where I can safely run, play, and burn off some energy. One thing my future family should know is that I do have leash reactivity around other dogs. When I see another dog while I’m on leash, especially in busy or stimulating environments, I can get overwhelmed and may bark or react. I just have some big feelings in those situations and need a handler who understands how to give me space, help me stay under threshold, and continue working on my training. I do live with my canine foster sister who I love, but slow, proper introductions with other dogs are a must. Because of this, I wouldn’t be a good candidate for dog parks or other chaotic environments with unfamiliar dogs. I’ll be much happier enjoying walks with plenty of space, adventures where my person can advocate for me, and playtime in my own secure yard. I’m looking for a patient, consistent family who will keep helping me build my skills and confidence. Give me structure, love, plenty of treats, and a little understanding, and I’ll give you one incredibly loyal, fun-loving companion in return. Story
Meet Shrimp Scampi! This guy is absolutely ridiculous in all of the best ways. He's a ten month old German Shorthaired Pointer mix, weighs about 35lbs, and he is the epitome of "if you let a child chug an energy drink and then set them loose on the jungle gym".Shrimp Scampi is all things puppy. He's bouncy, he's silly, and he's EVERYWHERE. He likes to fake people out at first by acting all calm and sweet but if you pass his vibe check, the mask comes off and oh, look at that, he's a GOOBER. Shrimp Scampi loves pretty much everyone. He has no issues with jumping up on you to say hello and then, just like that, you're his best friend. He truly has an amazing personality...he's just in need of an outlet for all of that energy and maybe perhaps (definitely) some puppy classes. He does very well with other dogs and seems to match their energy and meet them where they're at, surprisingly enough. He hasn't shown any red flags with cats and would most likely do well with them after a proper introduction. Kids 8+ would be fine - he's silly, a little bit clumsy, but he's been very gentle (except when he wants to YANK a toy out of your hand because he has, like, negative patience.) He's very, very smart and knows a few cues already and he's pretty good on a leash for a zoomy puppy. He's a social, confident guy that is going to be AMAZING in the right home!To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.

Wes is a senior German Shorthaired Pointer deserving of comfort for his senior years! Although he is an older guy, he still has a lot of energy and needs space to run! Wes is great with all people, including kids. He does not know his size so he may knock small kids over. He is also good with other dogs. He is currently in need of a foster home! Even a short-term foster home would help this guy out! Wes has resided in a foster home for a while and is hoping to find that special person to love him! **PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDERS, as we reply.to all inquiries, the emails.will be coming from Everydogrescue@gmail.com, you may also email us directly.
