Story
Newton came to FOCCAS with his brother and sister. He is still a little bit timid, but is getting braver all the time. He is excited to go for walks, but nervous about getting a leash put on him. He is learning to walk using a gentle leader since he is a strong boy. He does like to roll over for belly rubs and is treat motivated. He does take treats very gently. He would like to be a buddy to someone who will continue to work with him on his training.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Newton's adoption fee is $275. Story
Carly came into rescue with her 2 brothers. She had recently given birth. She was very timid at first. When put on a leash she would just pancake to the ground in terror. Now she's still a bit timid but looks forward to getting leashed up for a walk. She is food motivated. Every time she walks, she gets braver. She is making good progress in being socialized. She will need a patient family to teach what it is like to be part of a family.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Meet Sherman, a sweet guy who is showing us just how wonderful he is in a home! Sherman recently settled into a foster home, where his foster family describes him as a “gentle bean.” He can be a little shy while getting comfortable with new people, but once he feels safe, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his humans. His foster family is seeing more and more of his goofy side every day! Sherman truly enjoys the simple things: a leisurely walk, lounging outside, plenty of belly rubs, and—most importantly—a really good nap. He has a playful side, but he’s also perfectly content to relax and enjoy some quiet time with his people. **Sherman’s highlights:** * Fully house-trained * Good with other dogs and has also done well as a solo dog * Had a successful cat meet * Has been sweet and gentle with children he met in foster * Does well home alone with free rein of the house * Loves belly rubs, pets, and massages * Enjoys walks and lounging outside * Loves a good nap! Sherman does have an old knee injury, likely a previous CCL tear. After further evaluation, surgery is now recommended. **Baypath Humane Society will be covering the cost of his surgery, which is expected to take place later this year. Ideally, Sherman will be settled into his forever home before his surgery so he can recover with his new family. His adopter will need to be able to provide him with a quiet, comfortable place to rest and follow his post-operative care instructions while he heals.** Whether it’s heading out for a walk, hanging out in the yard, or curling up for an afternoon snooze, Sherman is happiest knowing his favorite people are nearby. He’s ready to find a family of his own to love, snuggle, and show his goofy side to. **Start the process to meet Sherman today!**

Story
Meet Cooper! Hes a 1 year old Great Dane/Pointer mix with the sweetest personality and the cutest goofy side. Cooper is friendly, affectionate, and loves being part of whatever youre doing. He enjoys toys, chew bones, and hanging out with his people, but he also has a playful side and would love another dog to romp around with or a couple of walks each day to burn off some energy. He walks well on a leash and is doing great with both crate training and house training. Cooper gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for many different kinds of families. He's neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever home of his own.
