Story
We adopted Jack 5 years ago from a shelter. I think he needs more space to run and play. Also, we unfortunately have not had the time to dedicate to him. He went through a training program so he's leash trained and house trained. Jack is such a family man. He's great with kids and other pets. He just wants to be part of the family! He enjoys going for walks or playing just as much as he loves cuddling and getting belly rubs. Jack can also do basic commands and would be great either indoors or outdoors.

Story
Ducky is a five year old AKC purebred GSP, and a wonderful sweetheart. She needs a home that can provide all the love that she deserves. We have recently had to move to an apartment, and with increased working hours she hasn’t been able to get the enrichment, exercise, and attention she deserves. I feel she would thrive with a person or couple who can work with her to provide her security and support. She has never been socialized with children before, and is good with bigger dogs. Ducky has had resource guarding issues with dogs stealing her food, but doesn’t direct that at people. She loves being the center of attention, snuggling, and being able to roam where she pleases to sniff everything.

Story
Ozzy joined The Foster Dog House from a rural NC shelter after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. It seems he may have been on the run for a bit as he's still got some weight to gain back. Typical for the breed, Ozzy rarely stops moving so he will need a home able to provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He thrives with long walks/hikes and brain games. He's a tall & strong German Shorthaired Pointer (~50lbs) who likely needs a 6ft fence to be safe. He lets you know where all the birds and squirrels are. He can be stubborn but is willing to learn. He does tire out and loves to nap ON his humans. He seems housebroken, walks well on a leash, and does sleep in his crate. Ozzy does okay with other dogs given ample time to be introduced slowly. He's dog neutral when walking or in a brewery setting but he does not care for dogs in his face therefore we're ideally looking for a home where he is the only dog. Ozzy is heartworm negative, UTD on vaccines, and neutered & microchipped. Story
Louie was born 7-18-22 and has been at the rescue since July, 2023 waiting patiently on his forever family.  This boy has a submissive personality and does great with other dogs. His dad passed away and there was no one that wanted to take him in so, he came to us. He loves kisses and cuddles and his fur is soft like velvet. We love to hug him. He walks well on a leash now and loves to play with the other dogs here. He should do well with most any active family that has room for him to run. He does have a little shyness at first but that heart of his wins out every time. You just have to meet him. Louie is neutered, microchipped and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention. Story
Hello, my name is Lola! I am an English Pointer born 7/18/22. I came to Richardson rescue because my owner died and there was no one to take care of me and my siblings. She has a gentle temperament and we have observed no aggressive issues. Being a hunting dog and living outside, she does have a bit of shyness that her new family will need to work on with her. She is very submissive when she meets another dog and would do great, if not better, with another dog in the home. She walks well on a leash and loves walks. She loves to run also so an active family with a fenced yard would be perfect. Lola also loves cuddles and has the softest fur ever! Like velvet to the touch. Lola is spayed, microchipped and current on all medical, heartworm and flea prevention. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org.        - Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2025, 2:08 pm
