Story
Dixie is a 5-year-old purebred GSP (no papers). She is very active and affectionate; however, our current situation—specifically a lack of time and yard space—means we can no longer provide the lifestyle she deserves. We are looking for a home that can offer her more room to run and play.

Story
Daisy is a 1-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer with endless love and energy. She is incredibly affectionate and loves being held, cuddling under the covers, and throwing her whole body on you while you relax. She is curious about everything, loves to explore, and has a natural instinct for hunting and chasing, so a home without small animals would be best. Daisy is very bonded to Duke and must be adopted with him. She follows his lead and becomes distressed when separated from him. Like Duke, she can be wary of strangers and is fearful of men due to past experiences. She responds best to positive reinforcement and treats and simply wants love and reassurance. Playful, silly, and devoted, Daisy is looking for a patient family that will welcome both her and Duke and give them the companionship and affection they deserve.

Tucker is a true gem: likely a mix of German Short Hair and Catahoula, he seems to combine the best traits of both. He is perfectly socialized, house trained, loves other animals and people .... what else can you ask for? And what a handsome guy he is too! You will never regret adding this sweet young guy to your household!

Story
Petey walked onto a property in the country one day and let everybody know that he was not just visiting, but really intended to stay. This would have been perfectly fine with the human residents, but they want Petey to have the best possible life and felt this high energy young man needed to have someone younger than they are. GSP's are wonderful dogs who are very lovable and loving and are very trainable. They do have a high energy level and usually a strong prey drive. Training is definitely a must. They will reward you with unconditional love and loyalty.

Story
Meet Wilbur Location: Hempstead, TXDOB: 03/26/2023Wilbur’s story could have ended very differently—but thanks to a kind-hearted Good Samaritan who witnessed him being dumped, this sweet boy got the second chance he deserved. He was taken in and is now thriving in an amazing foster home where his true personality has blossomed. And what a personality it is… Wilbur is the goofiest, sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. He’s full of love, incredibly grateful, and happiest when he’s soaking up attention from his people. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh daily and then curl up for the best cuddles ever—he’s your guy.Wilbur has a nice, balanced energy level. He enjoys being outside and stretching his legs, but he’s just as content lounging and relaxing. A backyard and a loving home are all he really needs. His quirks? Endless and adorable. He sleeps upside down, snores, sometimes falls asleep sitting up, and drinks water with his nose pressed into the bowl. He bounces when he walks and has a signature “post-potty celebration” where he kicks up the yard and hops away. And when he wants cuddles… he wants to be as close as physically possible. He even has double dew claws (which he occasionally chews on like toys) and knows how to sit—though he’ll usually offer both paws right after for a bonus double shake.Wilbur is housetrained, crate trained, rides great in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. He’s fantastic with other dogs of all sizes and genders and has done great with kids—even toddlers. If he ever feels overwhelmed, he simply walks away. He’s also friendly with new people—he may give a quick bark, then warms up right away.He can be a little sensitive to fast movements or restraint, so he’ll do best in a patient, understanding home.Wilbur is currently being treated for heartworms and has a dislocated hip—but neither slows him down or dims his spirit one bit.His perfect home is one filled with love, laughter, and people who will adore him as much as he’ll adore them. He’s adaptable and could even do well in a home where someone works longer hours, as long as he gets plenty of love when they’re home.Wilbur has already overcome so much—now he’s just waiting for his forever family. Story
Beautiful Brindle dog, who was caught in a hog trap. No owner ever found. She is super sweet, a little shy at first, but loves human attention. Unknown with cats, she does get along with other dogs. She is okay with older kids, 10 and up, but has never been around younger kids. She does jump up on you. But she is house trained and will make a good family dog. She is not yet vetted, but will be ready shortly.
