Meet Dallas – Your Sweet, Goofy, Velcro Great Dane!Location: Toledo, OH (Transport Available)Date of Birth: July 13, 2020Breed: Great DaneGender: FemaleLooking for a loyal companion who will shower you with kisses, keep you laughing with her goofy antics, and happily follow you from room to room? Meet Dallas, a beautiful Great Dane with a heart as big as her personality!Dallas is the perfect combination of playful, affectionate, and laid-back. She's a sweet, outgoing girl who absolutely adores her people and wants nothing more than to be part of the family. Whether she's enthusiastically playing with her favorite toys, enjoying a walk, or curling up beside you for some quality cuddle time, Dallas makes every moment a little brighter. And if you're looking for personal space? Well, Dallas might have other plans! This lovable Velcro Dane believes the best place to be is wherever her favorite humans are.Personality & Favorite ThingsDallas is a classic goofy Great Dane, complete with adorable head tilts, sweet little vocalizations, and plenty of personality. She's a toy enthusiast who especially loves a good game of tug-of-war. She'll happily entertain herself with her toys, but she'd much rather have you join in on the fun! She's also quite the affectionate girl. Dallas loves giving kisses, nudging her people for attention, and occasionally offering a gentle, playful nibble at your hand when she thinks you should be paying more attention to her.Despite her playful side, Dallas knows how to relax. She has a moderate energy level and enjoys a nice balance of activity and downtime. After a walk or play session, she's more than happy to settle down for a nap, preferably somewhere close to you. And if there's room on your bed, she'd love to join you!Dallas enjoys meeting people and is wonderful with familiar adults. She may need a little time and a proper introduction when meeting strangers, but once she's comfortable, her affectionate personality shines through.Training & Home LifeDallas is a smart girl with good household manners, and she's already learned many of the skills that make her a wonderful companion.Housetrained: Dallas is fully housetrained. She does best when given approximately 10–15 minutes outside to finish her business.Leash Manners: She walks nicely on a leash, although she may pull a little when something exciting catches her attention.Car Rides: Dallas is a great passenger and enjoys going for rides.Crate Training: Dallas has not been crated in her current foster home, so her comfort with a crate is unknown.House Manners: She has done well being left loose in the home without issues.Grooming: Dallas does wonderfully at the groomer.Energy Level: Moderate. She enjoys walks, toys, and playtime but settles down appropriately when it's time to relax.Like many Great Danes, Dallas does have one little weakness: countertops! If something delicious is within reach, she may be tempted to investigate. She's improving with reminders, and continued consistency will help reinforce her good manners.Other Dogs, Cats & ChildrenDallas is a social girl who enjoys the company of other dogs. She has lived successfully with multiple medium and large dogs, both male and female, and enjoys having canine friends around. She would be happy sharing her home with another compatible dog, but she would also do wonderfully as an only dog, especially if that means soaking up all the attention herself! When it comes to cats, Dallas has shown an interest in chasing them. While she may be able to coexist with very dog-savvy cats under careful management, a cat-free home would be the safest choice.Dallas's experience with young children is limited, so a home with older children, teenagers, or adults would be the best fit until more is known about her comfort around younger kids.Medical InformationDallas may still be heartworm positive, and her current heartworm status will need to be confirmed. Her future family should be prepared to follow any veterinary recommendations regarding testing, treatment, or ongoing care.Dallas's Perfect Forever HomeDallas isn't asking for much. She just wants a family who will love her as much as she'll love them. Her ideal home would have people who appreciate the affectionate, sometimes silly nature of Great Danes and are looking for a loyal companion to share their everyday lives. She would thrive with a family who enjoys spending time with their dog, whether that's going for leisurely walks, playing with toys in the backyard, or relaxing together at the end of the day.Dallas would love a home where she can enjoy regular exercise, plenty of affection, and a comfortable place to snooze. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus, giving her space to play and explore. Most importantly, Dallas needs a patient, understanding family willing to give her time to settle into her new surroundings. Like any dog adjusting to a new home, she may need a little reassurance and consistency at first. But once she feels safe and secure, her sweet, outgoing personality truly shines.Dallas has so much love to give. She's affectionate, playful, loyal, and wonderfully goofy. She's the kind of dog who will greet you with excitement, make you laugh with her antics, and remind you every single day just how special the bond between a person and their dog can be.If you're looking for a big-hearted best friend who loves toys, gives endless kisses, and believes cuddling should be a full-time job, Dallas might just be your perfect match!Ready to Give Dallas Her Forever Home?Dallas is ready to find a family who will cherish her for the incredible girl she is.
